Earlier today, I got the sudden urge to listen to Real Love , the original piano demo* and just now my longtime favourite Past Masters version of Across The Universe . I think something might be telling me to get properly back into John again so I might stick on POB tomorrow. Hopefully this means the beginning of something! a-hard-days-night-john-6

*Don't get me wrong, I love the Anthology version and the Threetles ' additions, but the sped up tempo and pitch bothers me a little. The demo with just John and the piano gives me chills in a good way and I'm glad to have revisited it after a long time today!

Right up there as one of my favorite John songs, either solo or from the Beatles. It's John in a really pure form, vulnerable and full of feeling.
