Haven’t seen that before? Is that from an interview, or from someone repeating something John supposedly said to them? I can’t imagine that’s a first person quote.

As you know, ExTex, John often said things for effect. I’ll see if I can find that full quote.
I got suspicious of quotes back in the ’80s when Dezo Hoffman published a book of his photographs of the group called With The Beatles , and on the back cover it had a quote from John, “…Dezo Hoffman was the best photographer in the world”. When you find the actual quote, the full line is, “At the time, we believed Dezo… etc.”, which kind of changes of it. Not a lie, but not the truth.

Offline Has anyone heard of the audio diary from the late 70’s. Theres a clip on you tube from a demo and he mentions that he groped his mom. I skipped the rest to the demos. But he basically said it was a sexual urge. That being said that it was wrong and creepy but a hetero urge, his first I belive he said. I think he just had a huge sexual appetite, and didnt know how to satisfy it. It would of ended up in lyrics and I just dont hear it.

Offline The, or at least one diary tape (running time 13:43) has been heavily bootlegged. I haven’t listened to it yet as its meant to be an unsettling experience and shatters the illusion (again) of endless bright sunny days of John breaking bread whilst Yoko happily skips to and from work whistling Hi-Ho.
Will shove it on my ipod and try and get thru it, listening to one of your idols spouting rage and bile is not the easiest thing to do however. Maybe its better than i have been led to believe and John is his normal lovable self (as promoted and marketed by The John Lennon Estate).
