Hi everyone. Hope someone can help with a little research I'm doing for a publishing project. Give Peace A Chance became an anti-Vietnam war anthem at the Moratorium Day march in Washington on November 15. Lennon later said he'd seen it on TV and it was one of the proudest moments of his life. Does anyone have any evidence which reveals where John saw the footage. He and Yoko were in Greece on holiday in the early part of November. There are pictures showing them aboard a yacht and in places like Athens where he held a press conference in a hotel. I'm trying to pinpoint exactly where they were in Greece and when they came back to UK. Someone told me they came back on July 26 but EMI logs show them at Abbey Road on that day doing work on What's The New Mary Jane . Many help gratefully appreciate. Thanks

That may be hard to pinpoint. He could have seen it on TV anywhere as I have to believe it would have made international news. I found this site which shows footage from the ABC network of Pete Seeger (voice only) leading the singing. The site does not say on which date this footage was originally broadcast.

Best of luck with your project.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
