Are people still having problems with PMs going missing? When people stop complaining I never know if it’s because they’ve got used to things being broken or if something I did actually turned out to have helped. When I reported it the Simple Press people said they’d heard of one other instance of it happening, but if they couldn’t replicate it they weren’t sure how to help.
Also, is the latest forum posts info updating correctly now? I’m going to regret asking these, I know.
Simple Press say the option to unthank people (if you’ve previously thanked them) may be added to a future update. It’s been requested before so I added my name to it.
Keeps jamming for me and cntrl + f5 doesn’t shift it.

As far as I know, I am getting PMs now. For the past few days, even the hang-ups it was having (showing that you still had unread PMs when you really didn’t) haven’t occurred for me.

Offline More a question than a problem. I accidentally clicked on the badge/rank link and got to this page. What is meant by “Membership Attained” since all the rows say None?

Because forum owners can bestow certain privileges upon certain people once they reach a certain rank. I see no use for it though. I’ve seen some forums use that sort of thing to unlock features, eg private sections for filesharing.
I enabled the rankings to be displayed because I could, but maybe it’s just confusing.

As there’s a new mobile version for the site, I tried to try it out earlier, but I can’t see anywhere to sign in?@fabfouremily use the drop down menu that says “Actions”. You will see log in as one of the options. The handy, “Search Forums” options is also in that menu.

I tried the mobile version for the first time today, and I don’t get any drop down menus, so I can’t log in. Maybe because my phone is on the oldish side?

Here’s what I see on Android 4.4/Chrome – see the menus above my avatar. After choosing Log In a popup overlay should appear in which you can add your username/password.

Offline That must be the reason @parlance because on my old iPod, I can’t log in, but on my new one I can. I was going out of my mind trying to find the drop-down menu that AG had mentioned. Then I tried to look for it on my other one and found it.

If you’re still on Froyo I’m not surprised some things don’t work – that’s a very old OS (there have been five major releases since then – G-K).
That said, it doesn’t really help if people can’t see basic features such as this. I’ll have a look in the Simple Press help forum and see if anyone’s reported a similar problem.

Offline Here’s an example of why it may seem PMs go missing. Once I find out if the person got the PM, I’ll know if it is an example of “it seems to go missing” or if it really went missing.
After I sent a PM today, I saw this when looking at the list of all PMs (the list where you see all your PMs with everyone):
Last Received: Ahhh Girl on 11 March 2014 – 6.53pm
However, when I open up the thread with that person, the most recent PM in that thread that I can see is one I sent back in December:
15 December 2013 – 3.53am
So there is conflicting information drilling into my eyeballs. Which piece of information to trust?.?. Guess we will find out.
EDIT: The recipient did not get the PM I sent.

Offline The BB on my iPhone (on the browser) is all different and confusing now.. I was trying to post earlier and was looking at all these symbols and none of them seems to be to “post”… is it just me?
