I only opened one tab

. Do not trust Sprucewood. Sometimes when I log out it still says I'm online at the bottom of the page. It goes away after a few mintues.

Hi all. There's currently an issue with the forum which makes posting on mobile impossible, and the layout is borked too.
This is due to an update by Simple Press, who make the forum software. I've tried rolling back to the previous version but it's not possible due to database reasons (and I just discovered my backups weren't backing up, joy of joys).
It's currently 9pm on a Friday night and I've been at my desk for 12 hours, so I'm going to switch off for now. I'll keep thinking of ways to fix this, and hopefully Simple Press will fix it in another update.
It works fine on desktop, so if you're on mobile try switching to the desktop version in your browser. You can do this in Chrome on Android (click on the three dots, choose Desktop site), but I'm not sure about iOS.
In the longer term I might have to move to some other forum software, but that's not without another set of headaches. I'll weigh up the options and see what's worth doing. In the meantime, I'm sorry things aren't working properly.

I don't have it on the mobile site, but I just switched to desktop mode, and I do have it there.

@Ahhh Girl Yep, I'm seeing the same. It looks like it's just an issue for mods/admins, but I guess we can work around that by using the mod tools.
Unless I've missed something, though, there's no edit button on anyone's posts, not our own or others'. I'll send a bug report now, though it might be an intentional change to encourage us to use mod tools instead.

Don't know if things are still being repaired and updated but I'm not getting post previews when lingering over whilst I either get taken to the start or the end of threads when clicking on the topic, it used to be that it would head straight to the newest post. When hovering over the red box on the right it says "visit the first new post on the topic" but it just goes to the last. Not got a clue if others are getting this, maybe it's been reported elsewhere.
The drop-down 'New/Updated Posts' menu currently looks like everything has been thrown at it and however it landed is how it appears. It used to be posts where separated into their respective thread [sub-]categories.
Another. The search engine isn't working. Put the word/term/phrase in, hit search, and... I return to the home page.

Thanks. I've reported the issues. It looks like linking to a post directly isn't working now on desktop either. The permalink just sends me to the top of the page. How frustrating.

Continuing problems:
1) new posts on the main list of topics sometimes don't show up in the list below
2) the little blue thingy next to posts no longer shows the content when you hover your mouse cursor over it AND you can no longer click on it to access the latest comment but have to click on the thread then navigate to the most recent

OK, there's a new version that I've just installed. It promises to fix most things, though I've noticed the post permalink button isn't quite working properly yet. I'll report it.
