This is more of a “just to let you know”, @Joe, as I’m not sure you can fix it, but there are still multiple threads wreaked by your experiments with threading recently. Here’s a run of them from the third page of the Songs forum:
As you can see, all of them have a more recent first post than last post, and the threads are like that when you go into them.
“Misheard Lyrics” is thirty pages, has 593 posts, but gives the first post as 10 months ago and the last as 11 months ago. It’s much older than either of those dates, with the real first post buried somewhere in those 30 pages.
Like I said, not sure they can be fixed, but thought you should know.
(And it’s not only in the Songs forum, there are examples in every forum I’ve looked at, it just happened that there were a nice bunch of them together in the Songs forum to show you.)

Offline Threading was something worth looking at, @Joe, and you couldn’t know that it would cause the damage it did, or that turning it off hadn’t got all the threads back to normal. Like you, I thought that had done the job until just the other day.
I just thought you should be made aware, because it might become something that starts getting a lot of mentions here as people find threads they go to post in aren’t quite right.

@Joe I just found the fix! I posted in “Misheard Lyrics” and after the post it went back to the correct order. The problem threads just need a new post to resolve the situation!

Offline Oh that’s interesting! I wonder if I can reinstall threading and make a post in each discussion to reset the order. Hold on…
Edit: I tried, it didn’t work. I re-enabled threading, it messed up the order of a couple of threads I checked. So I added some test messages but it didn’t make a difference. Sorry, and doubly so if it’s made things even worse now!
