Offline It might do intermittently. I’m combining style sheets to see if I can speed the forum up, but sometimes it breaks the layout. I think I’ve cracked it now though. If it still looks odd please refresh your browser. If that doesn’t fix it I’m probably still working on it.

Offline At the top of the page,where it says (in my case) “Welcome back Father McKenzie, please log in to post”,it didn’t say Father McKenzie this time,it was another user’s name. I clicked on the log in screen just to check, and it had my username and password there,so I logged in as normal,but when I logged out again, it said the same as before I logged in (ie another user’s name 
.)

Offline OK, that’s interesting. Thanks for letting me know. It’s not a disaster or a security risk, but it’s not ideal either.
What’s happening is that the forum gets cached for non-logged-in users. That speeds up loading for casual readers who are just browsing. When someone first visits a page, that rendering goes into the cache to be served up for future visitors, and it gets purged after a while.
The problem you saw is that someone with an account, but who wasn’t logged in, had got there first. The page they saw was then served up to you and others, more quickly than it would have been if it had been generated on the fly.
Probably the easiest thing is for me to try to remove that “Welcome back” message, though I’m not sure if that’s possible. I’ll look into it.

Offline No problem @Joe. I assumed it was a glitch because of the work you’re doing on the site. If another user’s password had appeared,I’d have been a lot more worried,but thankfully it was mine.
I posted on a thread, and when I clicked on Submit reply,it came up with Do you want to do that,I clicked yes, and it urged me to sign up to the site. I just refreshed the page instead

Offline I’ve found it’s kicked me out a couple of times too. Sorry. I’m still debugging some stuff so it might be related to that, and hopefully it’ll stop once I finish testing different settings permutations.

Everywhere else I’ve tried, the log in button does nothing. This is affecting many as Ahhh Girl, The Hole Got Fixed, Starr Shine? and Necko have all reported the same problem on Starr Shine?’s back-up.
For anyone unfamiliar with the back-up, it can be found here.
Should you wish to post there, you can do so as a guest if you don’t want to register.
Couldn’t get the add reply to work on this page (don’t know if it’s across the forum). Was only able to make this post using quote and then deleting the quote.

Offline Add reply is back, for now at least.
I know I’m being a real pain with this experimentation, but it’s for the greater good, honest. Combining scripts makes the whole site load much faster, but it also broke a lot of functionality in this forum. I need to work out precisely which script doesn’t like being added, which I’ll do tomorrow morning. I normally make site changes in the UK morning because most (US) users are offline.
But mea culpa, I didn’t know there were so many issues today. I’ve had my head down breaking and fixing things, and didn’t check emails etc. Because Father McKenzie was able to post here I thought it was just a quiet day, not realising so many others were locked out.
Also, the autofill on mentions doesn’t seem to be working properly. Sigh.

‘Twas a bit frustrating, realising you were probably unaware of some of the problems because a few people were managing to log in, and Father Mac got a few posts through.
Just check your emails if the forum goes very quiet while you’re working on it tomorrow.

Offline Mine is absolutely perfect with no issues, the pages are super speedy.
Was unable to use the forum for almost a day but worth it for what I now have.
