I don’t do it as a show of respect. The songs can’t tell and don’t care whether you respect them.
I do it because I hate it when other people don’t do it. When people abbreviate songs, it usually takes a second to figure out what they’re talking about. I type out the full name because it’s the courteous thing to do.
That’s why I type it out the first time, so people know what I’m talking about.
