I notice that sometimes the “unread and recently updated topics” section is not accurate. Right now, for example, it lists several topics where there are comments that are unread (by me) — and some of them are as recent as 23 minutes ago, others a few hours ago.
However, only by looking at the forums section did I notice that Trude had left a comment on the “Taxman ” topic 52 minutes ago — yet it’s not listed on the “unread and recently updated topics” section. How can something that is automatic and programmed like a machine be faulty like this? I assume it’s automatic and programmed like a machine, and not manually updated by a human.
If this only happened once or twice, I wouldn’t create a topic about it. It happens rather strangely often.

Offline It’s happened to me before as well. I find if I refresh the page, it clears it up. Hope that helps.

Offline Funny Paper! I have been having this issue for weeks! Even if I refresh the page…it will not show on “unread & recently updated topics” . I thought it was just me. I also cannot upload a photo….ever. And from my home computer, I can’t even copy or use the “quotes”. Dunno why….

Yep, same problem here. Often I find myself going back to the site’s main page and scrolling down to the bottom to see what the REAL most recent posts are. I don’t think Zig’s refresh-the-page solution has worked for me in the past, either.

Offline Yeah, same problem unfortunately. Zig’s suggestion has worked for me on occasion, though, so it’s worth a try if this is happening to you.

One solution would be to bookmark any thread you’re interested in, even if you bookmark like 20 of them, at least you can find them again easily to check.

Offline Just to say that the problem we had with not being able to scroll down and look at all the recently updated topics (or rather, clicking on one) seems to have fixed itself, or it least it has for me. Try it, it might work for you too.

Anyway, that “x topics with unread posts” is stuck in bringing up the same posts, currently sitting at from 5 hours ago. Aside from hacking the forum and changing it myself i have no idea what to do to fix it. Maybe a silver hammer will do.
