@Monkberry Moon Delight , I sometimes use Google to search a specific thread with “site:”
For example:
site:https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..s-picture/ zanthus
brings up my Zanthus picture (re. Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite !, correctly figured out by Ahhh Girl)
And in the end

Yeah, search results are very general on the forum, just giving the thread something might be in, not even specifying a page in the thread.
I have the following search bookmarked in Google:
beatles bible fab forum “-” site:www.beatlesbible.com
Just insert what you’re looking for between the speech marks, replacing the -, and it brings up posts instead of threads.

Whilst I can see a forum section entitled Bootlegs, foreign and unusual releases there doesn’t appear to be a section of the website covering the rapidly increasing number of unofficial “Grey market” releases which aren’t bootlegs, and whilst not officially sanctioned are legal and readily available thanks to copyright laws expiring or different EU rules for radio and TV transmissions. Could it start with a simple list of such releases, maybe track listing, picture of sleeve and develop into a comparison of what is “out there” legally? Loads on Amazon et al, and whilst some will question why pay for stuff downloadable for nothing its still useful to have a resource IMO. Happening with plenty of other artists too.

Ireland is missing from the Complete Discographies.
Also there are Russian singles about but were they legal?
Additionally Poland produced many thick-flexi ‘postcard’ singles; some with just the Beatles and some combined with other artists. My understanding is they were legal under Polish laws at the time.
“In short – they were cheap substitutes for Western singles.
They were legal because they were published by Polish companies legally, in accordance with Polish law, which did not protect copyrights”.

@ICE I think the Irish discography is the UK discography. I don’t know of any Ireland specific releases.
I explore the U.S.S.R. discography here, and explain that they are effectively pirate releases as they were done without the permission of EMI, and without paying any royalties to the artist and/or songwriters.
The same situation applied to Poland at that time. It doesn’t matter if they were legal within the country, they were illegal under international law.
I’d suppose that is why Joe doesn’t bother with Soviet Bloc discographies, because none of them were legal releases.

The discographies are generally ones where I’ve been able to find out reliable info (and reasonably good scans of the sleeves).
I’m not aware of Ireland-specific releases either, though if there’s information out there I can add a new page. The same applies to other countries (even if they weren’t official releases, that’s OK and it has some historic value).
