OK, the situation with the smileys is this. I’d have liked them to be just AHDN ones, or at least B&W ones in the same style. I got a bit carried away when making them, and quite a few of them don’t really have any practical purpose (they’re just random facial expressions). I added a few extras along the way because I thought they’d be useful.
If I added Love silhouettes, a MMT bass drum or a Welcome The Rolling Stones doll, why would anyone want to use them? From now on I’ll only create new ones if there’s a genuine need for them <3
The above post was from Joe – exactly 7 years ago tomorrow. It should give us all an idea of Joe’s stance on the smileys. You’ll notice that for the most part, they represent those in The Beatles inner circle. There are exceptions, of course, but the 
, etc… have “a practical purpose” or are “useful”.

Citing the criteria Joe has set forth and the ones I mentioned in my post above, the need for a Billy Preston post is borderline. Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy. All I am saying is that if Joe says either yes or no to BP, I would completely understand. Hope you do to.
Regardless, I am encouraged by the participation these Beatles-related projects bring out. As a loving caretaker of The Beatles Bible, I thank you all.
