… On PC, the font is in serif, which I find very weird (the forum font was one of my favourite technical things about the BB). Is it like that on mobile as well? I was on a tablet this morning and the font wasn’t serif, but I thought changes may have been made since then.

Try using Fount to see what font you get.

Wow, go away for a few days and it’s like a whole different world when you get back!  I like the new look, even though I’m a change-averse old fart…

I’ll go through a lot of these in the coming days. Some of them, like having the pagination at the top of the page as well as the bottom, I can’t change with my current forum theme. However, I’m willing to switch back to the old one and see if PMs will work now that the server has had the dust blown off it. I’m kind of reluctant to rock the boat,though, so I might leave it a couple of days.

@meanmistermustard The ‘close image’ button when you enlarge a pic now seems to be working. Yay for small victories.

Oh, that’s right. I came here to mention that the history section is now split up into multiple pages. It stopped loading recently, and when I asked my hosts to see if they could get it working I ran into all sorts of server-based adventures (I can laugh about it now, but half an hour ago it was terrible).

Anyway, the only way I could get the history section to work was by splitting it up. It’s not quite as convenient as having it on one page, but it’s the best I can do right now. In time I might look at some other way to render the data. The problem is that it’s a very resource-hungry process, to collate over 3,000 titles and generate a page on the fly. It’s a lot quicker now even if it takes a little longer to navigate.

I’m fine with waiting a few days for PMs as long as the forum is up. Glad I’m not swapping users anymore. Thanks for working hard to fix this problem.

@William Shears Campbell

I think it’s fixable, so I’ll work on it in the next couple of days. But this isn’t the thread for forum requests either!

Whew! It looks like it’s all back to our version of normal. I spent a couple of days as Shamrock Womlbs, which is OK, except I didn’t know how to pronounce my last name.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

One really good feature since the recent site change is the prominent display of “Reply to Group” and “Quote to Group” in the PM system. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif Now, let’s hope it really works and really sends the message to everyone in the group and SHOWS everyone in the thread who all it was sent to. a-hard-days-night-ringo-7

I love the early American albums laid out at the top of the home page.

That’s my childhood right there (though i couldn’t afford to get everyone of those). I do remember as a 10, 11, 12 year old going to the record store and holding those albums debating whether they were worth my savings. I promised my parents that Beatles VI would be my last one (yeah, right).
