Joe,

What do you think of creating a roster of Forum participants?

This would really in a way be an alphabetical listing of “Introduce yourself to the Forum”

You would only list what people have already publicly written about themselves.

Either you could ask current participants to send in whatever info they wish to present, and you or one of the moderators would “publish” it, or it could be done Wikipedia style where everyone puts in whatever they want next to their “name.”

The idea of course is to be able to quickly see whom it is you’re having a dialog with. For example, it could be of interest to know that you’re communicating with someone from Austria or Poland or Iran or Mexico or Brazil ….

You might also talk differently to a 13 year old compared to a 50 year old.

Or not.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Could just as easily be done by adding more information to people’s profiles, and we can all just choose how much or little information we want to share.

Tbf though, does it really matter? Maybe it’s good that we’re not changing how we speak to people based on how old they are. Some 13 year old posters could be intelligent and up for a discussion and some 50 year old posters could be idiots..!

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

That’s completely true.

Can you access someone else’s profile?

When I click “Profile” I only see my own (which of course will come in handy when I come down with Alzheimer’s)

You know when you click on someone’s name and like a profile pop-up appears?

I could give you a quick run of all major forum contributors via PM, ITSWD. I’ve been here long enough to know. If you actually are interested, send a PM (or email – you know the name).

It would probably be an impossible task. The forum has had many people sign up and then never post, and sifting through the list of names to find active users would take too long and stop me doing other stuff. It’s a lovely idea but not workable I’m afraid.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
