She might well do. I’m very deeply embroiled in another big writing project at the moment though (my David Bowie site), so I’m not able to do any interviews.

Came across a story run by The Daily Express on 7 January 2020 under the headline “John Lennon : The Beatles REUNION that never was – ‘PLAN’ with Paul McCartney revealed,” based on a “newly unearthed interview” with May Pang, and their “newly unearthed interview” was? It was @Joe’s interview with May Pang…

In a rare interview with The Beatles Bible back in 2011, Pang shared insights into Lennon’s life at the time, revealing how he and McCartney had “plans” to reunite the band…

Haha! “Rare” in the sense that’s it’s been freely-available on the web for a decade. The Express really is terrible. Thanks for sharing it though.

Was watching a video analyzing “It’s All Too Much ” and noticed some unmistakable screen grabs:

@Joe, you’re a heavyweight according to Craig Brown writing for the Daily Mail.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/de…..cover.html

Veteran Beatles biographers Mark Lewisohn and Barry Miles pin it to 11.35am. The heavyweight Beatles Bible states that it was 10am.

Veteran Beatles biographers Mark Lewisohn and Barry Miles pin it to 11.35am. The heavyweight Beatles Bible states that it was 10am.

They are both wrong, according to amateur astronomer Bill Tarver of Wokingham it was 10:34am.

‘The shadow angles give a clue. George is striding over a white band on the crossing and his shadow is centralised on it.

Similarly, Ringo is in mid-stride over the central line of the road and his shadow points along it. The sun is thus right behind the camera, clearly shining down the length of the road.

‘A London A-Z shows Abbey Road has a bearing of 142 degrees (almost NW-SE).

‘On August 8 the sun is due south (180 degrees) at 12.06 GMT (13.06 BST). It thus has another 38 degrees of arc to travel before it’s local noon.

‘The sun travels through 15 degrees in an hour, so it is two hours 32 minutes before noon or 10.34 BST.

‘Lewisohn and Miles have the minute almost spot on, but are out by an hour, so perhaps a misprint has occurred in some holy screed somewhere.’

All this discussion and investigation to find out when four men crossed a road.

That’s amazing. I’m fairly sure 10am was a guess.

I supplied some quotes to an ABC News (Australia) feature on the 50th anniversary of Imagine :

https://www.abc.net.au/news/20…../100238128

One of my quotes got mangled. “The multi-millionaire Lennon was as materialistic as anyone and later on (in the song) he sang ‘I wonder if we can’, seemingly mindful of the charges of hypocrisy.” – this should have read “…in later years he sang…” I’ve asked for a correction.

Correction has been made, @Joe.

“The multi-millionaire Lennon was as materialistic as anyone and in later years he changed the lyrics to ‘I wonder if we can’, seemingly mindful of the charges of hypocrisy.”

Don’t know if @Joe is aware of this.

Feedspot’s “Top 30 Beatles Blogs and Websites in 2022” (The best Beatles blogs from thousands of blogs on the web ranked by traffic, social media followers, domain authority & freshness), published on 27 March, has this…

Feedspot-1.jpgImage Enlarger

Many above it are news sites, such as BBC News and the Daily Mail, which I wouldn’t consider to be “Beatles Blogs and Websites”.

All five volumes of Jerry Hammack’s The Beatles Recording Reference Manual include The Beatles Bible in their bibliographys (under the sources for their UK discography).
