I would like to know if the website has anything to do with this:

I, for one, am unsure what to think. If it IS us, can we not make the titles so clickbait-y? Please? Some of them seem to indicate something juicier than what’s there. it’s pretty tacky. Further…that music is awful. It’s the Beatles, not The Doors!
I hope this is just some copycat who stole the name.

Nothing at all to do with @Joe or this site, @MattWatchingWheels, and I happen to know Joe is far from happy about the a***hole operating under his name (the jerk is also on TikTok, Reddit and Patreon under the name). Trouble is that Joe can’t trademark the name because of the “Beatles” in it.
I’m sure Joe wouldn’t have problems with anyone here leaving comments on the guy’s videos criticising him for ripping off this site’s name (which does have a YT channel) and causing confusion over whether it is any way connected to Joe.
I know I’ve left a comment on a video or two of his, and intend to carry on commenting that he’s a rip-off merchant operating under a false flag.

Oh, thank GOD! I knew we weren’t this low broe! I swear, the guy behind this channel presents the band so falsely and it irks me to no end. The narratives it pushes are so wrong!!!

Bad enough he’s ripping off the “…bible” name, but worse that he’s appropriated Joe’s own masthead design. Any casual or occasional (like Matt) visitor to this site is liable to encounter the yt channel and think they’re connected. (And it’s unlikely that the video site would lead many viewers to discover Joe’s creation.)

Not the Beatles Bible, just some thief who can’t be bothered to think up his own name but instead rips off the name of one of the longest standing, and most respected, Beatles website on the interweb.
I don’t even bother watching your clickbait videos because you can’t be bothered to come up with your own name, and instead fly under the false flag of a website you have nothing to do with.You are getting noticed there though, with someone (not me) recently starting a thread on the website’s forum asking if you were anything to do with it:Not a lot of respect for what you’re doing there. Expect more comments challenging your stealing someone else’s identity and using it to make money.You really are a disgusting example of how not to do the internet.The real Beatles Bible doesn’t charge a penny for sharing his knowledge.

Offline The more i think about it, the angrier I get, We are a community that prides itself on loving and respecting the lives of these four men. Not so with this kid. He’s using every bit of footage he can find to try and turn The Beatles into Info Warz, or TMZ. It’s not even just about the name. It’s about the fact he’s sensationalist and the very thing this website has always sought to prevent.
There are other channels like his and they are a dime a dozen. Using our name to do it, however, just makes it that much more insulting. It can’t be allowed to continue.

Offline Left a comment with the same sentiment expressed here. Having been watching youtube for over 15 years I’ve seen channels (Beatles related and otherwise) come and go. Unfortunately the best ones, especially with multi-instrumental covers never seem to stick around very long. This kind of content can generate views to some degree but hopefully doesn’t last more than a couple of months, maybe a year.

Thank you all. I was made aware of this guy in August, but put it out of mind over the summer. It’s pretty galling tbh and I wish it wasn’t happening.

I’ve complained to all of the above, but only got a generic response from Patreon. On YouTube and TikTok you can’t make a detailed complaint, just flag up a channel or account. Grr.
The one that particularly bothers me is Patreon, because that directly takes money from people. By trading as the Beatles Bible there’s the danger of hoodwinking people who might think they’re backing me.
I’ve been operating as the Beatles Bible since 2008, and there’s no way he couldn’t be aware of this site. He also seems to be mostly focusing on the networks that I don’t really use, and is ignoring Twitter and Facebook, on which I have active accounts. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

Offline Its infuriating that this guy gets thousands of viewers, compared to the handful of dozens that frequent the forum. (Although presumably the real meaty parts of the (real) ‘bible, like the featured articles and song info, get many many more viewers than forum-visitors). Many more people would rather passively view a narrated video than read, it seems.

Offline It’s a bit more than that though. He’s actually ripping off my content (example 1, 2). I’m asking around to find contacts at YT/Google and IG/Meta who might be able to help, because sending a generic complaint got me nowhere.
On the plus side, the Patreon account is down. They were the only ones to respond to my complaint. Yay for Patreon!

Offline The second of those, which was posted just yesterday, now has this comment (don’t know how long it’ll stay up):
This is directly stolen from the real Beatles Bible website. Pay a visit to the genuine article, folks, the Beatles Bible website, go to the history section, go to page 13, find the 19 September 1973, and you’ll see it’s a straight cut-and-paste.
This guy is nothing to do with the real Beatles Bible, he’s just stolen the name, and their content on more than one occasion, while claiming people couldn’t possibly get the idea this is anything to do with the real deal.
He’s operating under a stolen name, which is why Patreon have taken down his page there (hope he’ll be paying back anyone who was foolish enough to subscribe).
With any luck this guy will lose every imposter account he currently has.
(Should have thought up your own name rather than stealing your name from one of the longest-standing and most respected Beatles websites on the internet.)
It’s also on another post he’s just made, with dates and page numbers changed, where he rips Joe’s article on John announcing he’s leaving the group on 20 September 1969.
