Do you think we’ll ever get an Early Takes Volume 2? We know there are probably 100s of George ditties and unfinished tracks in Friar Park and that Giles in like 2012 was going through them. Yet, nothing has come from then. Are there any demos of songs (whether they exist or not) that you’d like to hear? I’m kinda sad we’ve got none of the Brainwashed tracks that George left Dhani and Jeff to make sense of.
Will we ever get his song Valentine? It sounds like it’s completed and is just looking to be released, heck it was even meant to be on Brainwashed.

Offline I’d love an Early Takes Vol. 2 (and perhaps a Vol. 3? There are certainly enough songs). I was incredibly disappointed after I first discovered Vol. 1 to find that there were no others because Vol. 1 was so amazing (since then, I have found a lot of the same versions of the same songs from ATMP on various bootlegs such as Beware Of ABKCO and All Things Must Pass Naked), but Vol. 1 has a couple of songs that I really appreciated (and have yet to find anywhere else).
(I hope this post is somewhat coherent and makes some degree of sense, because it turns out staying up most of the night reading is terrible for your brain).

Offline If we believe Dhani, there is plenty of stuff that is ready for release. It’s just Universal doesn’t want to release them because maybe George isn’t profitable or they’re planning some bigger event in the future (like the Scorcese documentary) to do a joint release but I don’t know.
If the Harrison estate would like to hire me, even just for social media, I’m here and I’m willing to get paid to post George photos every day.

Offline Ok lads I did a quick Google, it’s a company called Versus Creative based in LA who run George’s accounts. They run or cooperate with a few other accounts (the most famous ones being Spotify, Solange, and American Flag Football League). It’s a teeny company, only has 7 employees if LinkedIn is to go by.
My CV is being sent in as we type 😉

Offline Just reading an issue of Classic Rock magazine, and there’s an interview with a guy called Randy Bachman,who was in a band called the Guess Who, and he talks about George. Here’s the relevant bits (@Beatlebug I thought you in particular might like it):
I never got to meet George,but I phoned him once. It was 1970, and I had left the Guess Who. The American Woman album and single were number 1,but I had a gall bladder problem and had to leave. Our publicist Richie Yorke also worked with Derek Taylor,the Beatles publicist. He said “the band are breaking up, George is starting a new band,why don’t you call him? Here’s his number”. Wow! So I phone him. A really sweet female voice answers,who i assume is Patti Boyd. I say “it’s Randy Bachman, I got your number from Ritchie Yorke, and I’d like to speak with George”. She puts down the phone, and maybe 40 seconds later George comes to the phone. He’s got this low growl. “Winnipeg? Is that where Winnie the Pooh is from?” He says he’s heard American Woman – “Good song,good solo” but he says he’s already got his band together. “And my guitarist is my best friend,who I’m sure you know,Eric”. Oh yeah,Eric.
And that was it. My one encounter with George Harrison .
