A new photo from thenewno2 on their instagram
With the caption:
“Frank Zummo in das haus”.
Now I have got problems about this *puts on glasses* Ahem:
First off all nouns in German take a capital letter so it should be ‘Haus’ not ‘haus’. ‘In’ takes the Dativ form seeing as it is belongs in the group where the prepositions can be either Akkusativ/Dativ depending on whether they are motion or non-motion. Now Dhani has neglected to put in a verb which does not tell us whether the sentence includes motion or not. We can assume that Dhani meant “Frank Zummo ist in das Haus”- meaning ‘Frank Zummo is in the house”. From this we can dictate that the verb is stationary not in motion, Mr. Zummo is simply ‘there’.
However there is another predicament here where Dhani has not used the correct form for ‘in‘. We know the sentence is not in motion, therefore we use the ‘Dativ’ form. ‘Haus’ is indeed a neutral noun which means that to say ‘the house’ is ‘das Haus’, but that is only in the ‘Nominativ’ form and that is incorrect. So we say ‘in dem’ to correctly conjugate the sentence ‘Frank Zummo ist in dem Haus’. While this is perfectly grammatically structered, it is not what a typical German would say as they shorten “in dem” to ‘im’ and because German is weird for some unknown reason you can change ‘Haus’ to ‘Hause’ but I’m not going to do that because meh. If you have read all of this you need to question how you are spending your time.
Therefore the correct sentence should be:
‘Frank Zummo ist im Haus’.
So ‘C’ for effort Dhani, seeing as how he did Spanish.
And yes I am awful fun at parties, thank you for asking.

I read it all to respect the time you put into writing it. And because its hilarious how much thought you put into this.

This made me smile because I went to a restaurant called Dessert Haus. I’m guessing that should have been Das Dessert Hause. Which is even funnier considering the place is Korean.

Very impressive German grammar lesson, @AppleScruffJunior. Before today, the only German I knew was from bad WWII movies: “wir Möglichkeiten, um Ihnen zu sprechen haben.” I’ll bet that’s not quite right either.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I don’t know if this is where it was posted originally, but there was a campaign to return George’s home videos to his estate and:

While we have not received any written response from the sources we mailed these past months, Andrea and I have been informed from the seller himself that the home video has been purchased by The Harrison Estate. While it is frustrating to know they had to purchase their own personal effects, we are pleased to know that the most personal of the items has indeed found its way back to those who will cherish it the most.
We thank you all for your signatures and support.
May Peace and Love be with You All for Ever and for Always.

It’s correct if it’s just ‘Dessert Haus’ which means surprise surprise ‘Dessert House’. However if they wanted to call it ‘The Desert House’ it would be just ‘Das Dessert Haus’.
Yay German grammar!

George does 1970s Motown in his own beautiful, inimitable way! I think I’m falling in love with him as I type… <–!!!!!)
THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The feels! OH! Overjoyed ’cause of the wonderful music… then sadness ’cause he’s gone… but then, What Is Life , anyway?
I think people who truly can live a life in music are telling the world, ‘You can have my love, you can have my smiles. Forget the bad parts, you don’t need them. Just take the music, the goodness, because it’s the very best, and it’s the part I give most willingly.” – George Harrison

Quite possibly my fave George track, the lyrics are erm… amazing, wonderful, incredible and any other synonyms. Equal to the very very best that anyone ever wrote.
And happy birthday George. You remain a legend outside the Beatles as well as in.

I’m kind of tempted to post it on thenewno2’s FB page in the very slight chance that Dhani would see it and be completely freaked out.
