My Sweet Lord was among the songs most regularly used for torture in Chilean prison camps under the regime of Gen. Augusto Pinochet.

So what do you guys think about this? Thought it was worthy of it’s own thread than a post in the Beatles news section

Well….I can think of much worse that they could have used…

"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

There is far far worse in the world of music that that Friday song that should not be posted or mentioned here as it would be too cruel.

You’re right… but it won’t stop me from posting one on here anyway.

Enjoy… if you dare.

Why choose My Sweet Lord when there is a ton of tortune tunes just from TV Talent shows. Cheeky Girls is dreadful, how about some Pop Idol hell.

I can see it now Cbatcu, tho to make it worse instead of the above we get to listen to the complete A/B Road bootleg; 2 hours of The Long And Winding Road rehearsals would be enough to get most to sell their countries secrets or renounce lifelong held beliefs.

However the below would have me singing like a Canary within 10 seconds, I truly hate this song with a very fierce passion. One of the worst pieces of music I have ever heard, the above is sweet sweet music when compared to this.

And the award goes to…

Just mail the trophy to me. I’d like to thank the Academy and all of the little people who made this possible.

I don’t know, Zig, I think “We Love You Beatles” tops it all.

Sorry Zig, that was standard 70’s fodder. Your entry doesn’t get my vote.

Never known if this was a piss-take or not but it is dreadful.

So I take it you actually DID listen to this whole thing? Even in my experimental years listening to music, I wouldn’t have sat through it.

Although that might not be the worst thing Lou’s ever done… not when there’s this…

I hope this isn’t the only thread from this forum that survives to the year 3013.
The song that came up on my mp3 when I typed the first sentence. It took me a moment to make the connection.

I’m So Tired , I haven’t slept a wink
I’m So Tired , my mind is on the blink”

“‘ll give you everything I’ve got
For a little peace of mind”
