Can anyone shed light on the song Maureen (not Mo) written by George? I think there was a demo version of it on the Let it be tapes. Is it about the same Maureen?
I don’t think they were having an affair at this point, but the Harrisons marriage was more or less damaged around this time.

Since Paul and John have both offered up numbers for Ringo, George joins in with “Maureen,” a song he claims Bob Dylan wrote (Maureen, of course, was the name of Ringo’s wife at the time). George sings and accompanies himself on guitar, as Paul occasionally joins in on vocal and John attempts to play along on guitar.
Despite George’s claim as to its authorship, no Dylan performance of this song is known to exist, nor is it particularly Dylanesque.
It was recorded/played on the 6th January 1969.

I can’t really make out the lyrics, but at least we can agree that it isn’t a Dylan composition.
While I’m quite positive that it wouldn’t have escaped George’s attention that Maureen was the name of Ringo’s wife, the timeline is a little off for the affair, no?

Weird. I thought if there would be rumors they would be about Paul and Cynthia.I thought it was Cynthia & Yoko!
I was not aware that anyone ever talked or any rumors were spread about Cyn’s gay leanings. Are their any places where Cyn’s sexuality came into question?

Strange how George held no grudge towards Pattie and Eric when they got together and Ringo held no grudge when George and Maureen got together. For most it would destroy friendships and leave resentment for years. The ways of Beatles.
Jusst waiting to hear the rumours of John and Linda and Paul and Yoko being true.
I think it makes sense when you consider that it was a different time, and rock stars have/had very different lives to normal people. When you’re constantly cheating, and the people around you are cheating, I can imagine everybody becomes weirdly numb to it after a while. I also think they all realised they married too young. Maybe they were relieved they had an excuse to get out of their unhappy marriages.
In fairness to Mo, I feel it’s worth mentioning that Ringo was treating her terribly at this time and having his own affairs, including with Mo’s good friend Chris O’Dell. Nobody in that situation came out looking good. It just always irks me the way Ringo is always portrayed as the victim.
