Scheduled to drop mid-September, depending on what country you are in, its a 7 cd box comprising of all the albums George recorded and issued whilst contracted to Apple (1968’s ‘Wonderwall’ thru to ‘Extra Texture ‘ in 1975). All the albums are newly remastered, feature bonus tracks and will be available individually; the box comes with a DVD and book which contains a large number of previously unseen pictures.
Wogblog has a couple of articles on the release – 24th July 2014 & 21st August 2014
Examiner also has posted an article reporting the news.

I’d like to see that very good recording of ‘Dehra Dun’, whose origins are somewhat obscured, be included somewhere here in addition to perhaps an outtake/demo of ‘Sour Milk Sea’, if one in fact exists. These are two very underrated George Harrison songs, in my opinion, that need to be more widely circulated through George’s body of work. I’m not sure about a “newly remastered” ‘Electronic Sound ‘ CD though, it could make it sound even worse than it all ready does, I feel sorry for the Engineer who’s stuck labouring on that project! A refurbished ‘Wonderwall’ disc (with unreleased tracks?) would be very enticing indeed…:-)

A few of the bonus tracks are mentioned in the 21st August Wogblog article including an alternate instrumental version of ‘The Inner Light ‘.

Very nice, this track alone will make the purchase worthwhile, never thought I’d come across an alternate version of ‘The Inner Light ‘…:-)

Exciting! Won’t be getting it but still new Harrison stuff
I hope that there is a proper 1974 concert DVD, bonus points for a Japan concert- even if it is just clips, I’ll still be a happy camper.
Do they not have any new outtakes from LITMW? Even if it is just takes of George messing up it’d be better than Miss O’Dell and Deep Blue again (also only one bonus for Extra Texturee- blah).
Oh well, I’m still looking forward to getting my hands on Electronic Sounds
Also, will we be getting a rerelease of Concert for Bangladesh anytime soon (now that everything is getting remastered) if so a Blu-Ray CFB with Dylan’s extra songs would be nice (nudge, nudge know what I mean?)

Hmm- they finally added Bangladesh to Material World to try and make me buy it again – sigh.
Will have to see what the prices are like, may only end up getting the two early ones which are *cough cough* not exactly the current retail versions for me just now.

Sour Milk Sea was one of the songs played during the demo session which took place the day before the Beware of ABKCO session. I’d love to hear that. Other demos from that day were used for Early Takes vol. 1.
The source that the Wogblog got their information from also mentioned that they were initially going to release more bonus tracks but for some reason pulled back in the last month or so. Also, I believe there might be one or two more which haven’t been mentioned yet.
I’m glad that the demo for Dark Horse is supposed to be one of them, but I was hoping for a couple of surprises. The good thing is that it seems like they’ve been much more efficient about releases since Universal took over, so fingers crossed It Won’t Be Long before another Early Takes comes out, if that’s what they’re waiting for…

Hopefully if tracks have been held back its from a planned and upcoming rarities/outtakes box and not to keep them in the vault – the next step once all the albums are available. Anyone who’s heard the bootlegs knows how good most of them are and ‘Early Takes’ proved that there is so much of interest and quality in the vaults.

I dont think there has been any announcement yet. I wouldnt be surprised if it mirrored the ‘Dark Horse ‘ box dvd with promo’s and some footage from the ‘Dark Horse ‘ tour along with a few other odds and ends, maybe a feature on the Bangladesh concert.

I sure wish they would just bring out the 1974 and 91 concerts complete but I guess we will just have to wait and see!

I just preordered from Amazon UK as it is 31 dollars cheaper than ordering domestically. Does anyone know if the DVD will be region coded? Are they usually?
Also, why is Bangladesh not included? Is that going to be remastered again?
I tried to check the price on the Harrison website but it redirects to amazon.com. I got it for 65.84 (GBP) including shipping at amazon UK.
