I only just discovered that George's version was a cover of a James Ray song from 1963. I always thought George wrote it.

I always found George's version to be too Jeff Lynne for me. In this case I prefer the original. Much much love for George, just not his version of this song...

The title is 'Got My Mind Set On You'.

Remember, this song's just six words long! a-hard-days-night-george-10

I was just about to say you're wrong according to the original label. But then I checked Wiki and it says the original was written as Got My Mind Set on You (by Rudy Clark who also wrote "If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody") but then the first recorded version was called I've Got My Mind Set on You. So it's confusing. Perhaps a mod can change the title.

Well, this thread is about the George Harrison song called Got My Mind Set on You.

Little Girl absolutely loves it... I could never understand why.

I wondered that but when I click "Edit" I can't see a way to change it. paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

Go to George Harrison Songs thread list, and next to this thread it should have an edit button.

Wow, even I didn't know all forumpudlians could edit thread titles. Would someone do a screen capture of the George Songs thread list so I can see the edit button?

Once you click the icon an edit option appears..

It doesn't allow me to edit the topics I haven't started though.

@Ahhh Girl It was decided awhile ago that users can edit their own topic titles. No need to worry.

I was wondering, which version of the music video do you prefer for this song? I definitely prefer Version II.

I prefer Version II as well. I love the bit with the little groundhog playing the pipe like a saxophone. a-hard-days-night-george-9

Uh... I prefer the one where he's inside a machine at one of those ancient, like, arcade things. a-hard-days-night-george-10 It's super 80s, so it fits the song. The library one is just weird, in my opinion.

That's really why I like it best: it's weird, just like a multitude of George's other videos! a-hard-days-night-george-9
