…then I listened to the whole album a couple times and I think I’m in love. I’m just realizing now how diverse an artist Dhani is. Comparing this with thenewno2 and his solo stuff and his collaborations with Paul Hicks, they’re quite different genres.

It is a bop, I have been looking for more ‘textured’ instrumentals like it that aren’t more ‘bland for yoga types’ but I’m finding it difficult to find similar bops.

Offline A series of concerts will be held in (mainly) May to mark what would have been Ravi Shankar’s 100th birthday on 7 April (which will see an event in London). The Ravi Shankar Centennial Concerts will see many of Ravi’s former disciples perform, and they will be joined by different guests along the way. His daughter, Anoushka Shankar will appear at all events, joined on occasion by her half-sister, Norah Jones, Philip Glass will appear at one, and Dhani will be playing two of the Centennial Concerts — on 16 May he will join Anoushka at the San Diego Civic Centre, and on 19 May, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, he will join both Anoushka and Norah.
