I know Wah Wah is a George Harrison song but hey close enough he wrote it when 1969 when he was still in The Beatles. So, which version of Wah Wah is better? The album Phil Spector version or the Concert for Bangladesh version? I frankly think both are fantastic, but I prefer the album version. I do like the chorus on the Concert for Bangladesh version more, though. What does everyone else think?

Hey @Killerviolin. I’ve moved the thread into the George sub-forum as it could get very messy very easily if we applied such a policy due to the number of solo tracks that were written in the Beatle years.

As for which version, out of the two you specified I would always go for the Spector version as I love how it forceful the production is.

The demo is also very good tho.

I love the Spector version. The harmonies are so powerful and brilliant in their modulation.  The Wall of Sound is roarin the whole time with what sounds like a thousand guitar and horn players backing this wail of sorrow.

Sorry I posted in the wrong place, I’m new here. Yeah, I like the album version more because it’s so grand and just wonderful. It was overproduced, but I kinda like it.

No need to apologise, @Killerviolin, it’s not an issue.

Spector definitely went way over with his production but somehow it works as it makes the song sounds very annoyed, fed-up and pissed off, which George was when writing it.
