Offline The wikipedia entry for this lists John and Yoko on “Handclaps” – can anyone confirm or deny this?

Offline I read somewhere (maybe the 50th Anniversary booklet) that the jam was originally named Peace Jam and the handclaps were credited to the Plastic Ono Band. When Give Peace A Chance came out a few weeks later, to avoid confusion George changed that notation to “I Remember Jeep ” with “John and Yoko”. I think Jeep was Eric’s dog. I can’t find a record online of what I read, but it contained some nice thoughts about George’s generosity. Although the “jam” musicians involved did not get credit, they all received continuing royalties. One of them said the quarterly check is now his main source of income.
