Thanks to some great contributions on this thread, there's a hierarchy for people to progress through, depending on how many posts they've written on this forum.
People with fewer than five posts are tagged "A Beginning", after the Anthology 3 tune. From then on they can progress from St Peter's Church, where John Lennon met Paul McCartney , through to the Apple rooftop. To progress through each stage you'll need around 10 posts to your name, although this interval may change in future.
- A Beginning
- St Peter's Church
- Casbah Coffee Club
- The Jacaranda
- The Indra
- The Kaiserkeller
- The Top Ten Club
- The Star-Club
- The Cavern Club
- Decca
- EMI Studios
- The London Palladium
- Royal Command Performance
- Paris Olympia
- The Ed Sullivan Show
- Carnegie Hall
- Hollywood Bowl
- Shea Stadium
- Candlestick Park
- Rishikesh
- Apple rooftop
It's only a bit of fun, so please don't leave masses of messages just to raise your status. No-one will think better of you for it

Anyone's welcome to start topics as long as they're sensible, relevant and in the right part of the forum. As long as it's the sort of thing others might want to join in on, go right ahead.
Welcome to the forum, btw.

EMI Studios IS Abbey Road - it wasn't officially named "Abbey Road " until sometime after the fact. (Didn't learn this nugget myself until recently, on this very site.)
BTW, Joe, I've loved those designations ever since I realized the rationale behind them! (Me, I might've included "'Our World' Telecast" in place of Rishikesh, but I guess that's not exactly a geographical location. Plus, it probably outshines the Apple rooftop, which would make it kinda counterproductive.
One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"

Yeah but A Beginning isn't a place OR event. It's a song. I mean, you can get into to it but not physically. BUT!!!! BUT!!! We could have maybe possibly kinda added the Magical Mystery Tour Bus.
