SMINKING (smin’-king), n. 1. Official title of the King of Smin. 2. Small and shrinking. 3. Smart thinking.  4. Smoothly sinking. 5. The act of smoking and drinking simultaneously. 6. The act of smiling and winking simultaneously.

Eg., “The Sminking just sat there in his throne, surrounded by his consorts, too busy sminking and sminking to devote any sminking to the matter of his sminking, sminking kingdom.”

What are the lyrics to Abbey Road ‘s “Smin King”?

Smin King (Lennon-McCartney SgtPeppersBulldog a-hard-days-night-george-4)

I wanna be a modern day smin king (E)

But the drinkin’s holdin’ me back (B)

You could say that I’ve been sminking (B)

And my brain’s been on the wrack(E)

And when I see my smin queen (A)

I cannot resist to smink  (E)

But I’ve been up since seven (B)

And my eyes are on the blink (E)

*solo*

This song was made for a question, (E)

Paul don’t sue me please, (B)

I know the title’s similar, (B)

But there’s pain in my knees (E)

How’s that for songwriting? ahdn_ringo_09

Ringo. He made a lot of cameos. This one was his favorite.

Why he crafted it during the filming of Doctor Zhivago remains a mystery.

Early in his Beatles career, Ringo’s goal was to make enough money to own what type of business?

The Yellow Submarine ended up in the Bahamas, where the the Beatles and Paul’s grandfather were to perform on the rooftop of a building, but they ended up watching The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band perform with a stripper instead.

Don’t Pass Me By .  Ironically, the song was passed by, as they cut to commercial and left the song out.

Twickenham Palace.  But the vibe there was such a bummer that Paul quit until the other Beatles agreed to move production to Junior’s Farm.

What were the words of wisdom spoken to Ringo on the title track to Let It Be ?

List all songs that John Harrison and Richard McCartney wrote together, and whether George Martin liked each song.

Only one song was written by that pair, ‘A Day Without You Passed Me By Yesterday ‘. Geoff Martin was not amused, but George Emerick made it work.

On 31 March 1970, Ringo delivered to Paul what message from John and George? How did Paul react?

“Hey, Paul!

Did you know Ringo now has a part-time job as the local postman?

Luv John & George x”

Paul was very happy for Ringo’s new job, and congratulated him.

How much did Ringo get paid a week by Royal Mail, and how long was he a postman for?

2 pound 10 a week. That was his pay. One week. He went back to making music…and more money!

Who carries a picture of Chairman Mao in the Beatles promo video for Revolution 1 ? Is the same person shown carrying the picture in the video for Revolution ?

“How much did Ringo get paid a week by Royal Mail, and how long was he a postman for?”

In lieu of pay, Ringo agreed to a deal whereby he would be allowed to open and keep any and all letters or packages addressed to himself, free of charge. Ringo ended up regretting the deal, however, when he learned that of the 6500 pieces of mail he himself received weekly, 6000 of them were requests that he procure John’s, Paul’s, or George’s autograph; and the remaining 500 were inquiries about Yoko’s cloud-poem biscuit recipe. In the end, Ringo contrived to get himself fired by unlawfully opening the single piece of mail addressed to Pete Best, from the Pete Best Fan Club. (Ironically, the letter turned out to be a request for Ringo’s autograph.)
