It’s their homage to The Emperor’s New Clothes

What was John doing in Almería in 1966?

Looking through bent back tulips to see how the other half lived. He wrote the experience into his song Glass Onion .

Why did The Beatles turn down the request to appear on a tv show to help raise money for the victims of the Aberfan disaster?

The only place they had heard of beginning with “aber’ was Aberdeen, thus declined raising money for a place they had never heard of.

Why hadn’t they heard of Aberfan?

They had suffered a simultaneous sneezing fit during which the disaster occurred; and missed all the press coverage when they then took a collective 3-week nap to recover. And then it was back to the studio.

How did America react after John Lennon proclaimed that the Beatles were “more popular than [New York Herald-Tribune film critic] Judith Crist right now”?

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

The reporter was 3/4 deaf so he heard Lennon say that they were more popular than Jesus Christ. This caused many riots in the Bible Belt until Lennon came out and apologized to Jesus, Judith, and the press.
Little known fact, this insident is where the inspiration for the famous Beatles song “Hey Judith” comes from.

What was the irony in the Bible Belt burning Beatles records in order to prostest against them?

Somebody had to buy the records in order to burn them.

This is one of the times in this category when the truth is funnier than any attempts at creative witticisms.

What should have the Bible Belt have burned instead to prove their point?

Their bibles, and their belts.

What alternative method of destroying Beatles records did each Beatle recommend?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Pot of weed

We all know that the Beatles did LSD, but only one of them did the innovative drug, LCD. Which one did the drug, and how did they get a hold of it?

You misspelt the name of the drug. It’s called LED.

George Harrison accidentally swallowed an LED in 1965,and became hooked on them for at least another 4 years. This was the inspiration for his song ‘The Inner Light ‘.

Which other Beatle has been rumored to have also tried LED?

It was John.  He felt it must be right to “show everybody the light”.

How did singer Abbe Lane react when she saw the name of that Beatle LP released in 1969?

She was angry because the Yellow Submarine song had been out for three years by then.

Why are the Beatles leaning over a balcony on the Please Please Me cover, as well as the 1962 – 1966 and 1967 – 1970 compilations?

SgtPeppersBulldog enquired discreetly

They got seasick during the photo shoot on the ship, and a Beatle has to do what a Beatle has to do… ahdn_paul_01

A)  Say that he loves her and asks return of the ring.  In the rare long version of the song with additional verses, he asks her to read him War and Peace, find a cure for herpes and type a 50 page dissertation explaining why beach party movies are so popular.  Anything to delay the breakup.

B)  I see another funny/annoying question from Jolly Jimmy below

Paul wants his love Here, There, and Everywhere.  But if he wants her everywhere, is it really necessary to ask for her to be here and there?
