Well, I thought it might have happened… but it didn’t!

So here’s an unofficial one to make up for it!

Maybe they’ll have one tomorrow?

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Can buy Joe love!

That’s awesome! You should send it to them. Edit: I posted it at the Beatles subreddit and it’s getting a lot of upvotes.

And they really should have had one today.

Beware of sadness. It can hit you. It can hurt you. Make you sore and what is more, that is not what you are here for. - George

Check out my fan video for Paul's song "Appreciate" at Vimeo or YouTube.

Previous Google doodles about the Beatles:

Lennon’s B-day 2010(has sound)

Robert Moog’s 78th Birthday (you can play the Moog synthesizer like the Beatles did). Hey, it comes up under Beatles when you search Google’s doodle database.

Aw thanks guys! They’re really nice comments.

I hoped I got it roughly right and then someone pointed out I had Paul’s Hofner back to front haha! There are certain things where you just got to get that attention to detail! Was easy enough to amend. Was fun to do too!

:)

That’s really cool!!

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Well, not quite – the Google version was just a simulated Minimoog, not the far more elaborate modular version that George owned, and which was practically the only game in town in 1969. Mini didn’t come onto the market until ’71, after which it became Moog’s flagship model and their biggest seller. ([/Moog synthesizer pedant]

One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"

Thanks for the clarification. Interesting.

And thanks for humouring my analness! :)

That “Feb 9” doodle is pretty cool! Are those avatars taken from “Beatles: RockBand”?

Yeah, I’m thinking I’m going to make that my new search home page, so it’ll be my permanent Google doodle. :)
