I was just Googling sanguine pencils, and I came across this wonderful drawing of Paul. I don’t know who the artist is, but I liked the image so much, I wanted to share.

So, it was #fanartfriday yesterday, and George’s people always repost some stuff on Twitter. I noticed one of the drawings wasn’t made by the guy who posted it, because I recognised it as a Klaus Voormann drawing. However, something was off. The person in the drawing had George’s face, but I knew an identical one with Paul’s face. A bit of research taught me that both versions are authentic, as they are printed side by side in Astrid’s ‘Hamburg Days’ book.
I’m referring to this one, of course:
Does anyone know why he did this?

Klaus, his world crashing down around his ears: ‘But.. but… it’s you, George! Don’t you remember? Poor little lad of seventeen, all alone and far from home…’
George, ‘piph’ny-ing: ‘No, that wasn’t me! It was Paul who spent a night in jail, not me.’
Klaus: *swears in German*
So that’s the Silly Girl retelling of the events.
