I think they should do more than just rerelease Yellow Submarine on DVD and Blu Ray. Put it back it theaters! I would love to see it in theaters, I wasn’t there in 1969! If someone asked you if you’d want to see this movie in theaters again, how could you possibly disagree?!

It was actually in the theaters for the Children’s Film Festival, and I went to see it! And A Hard Day’s Night . I was practically gasping throughout the whole thing. But yes, they should show it in more than one theaters. It could get a whole new set of fans! And I would love to see it.

I am very happy, and one reason is because I have The Beatles. Thank you!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

That would be great! I’ve been looking everywhere for the DVD, but they just don’t sell it in stores. Can’t wait 🙂

Mister Mustard, it says suggest theater locations, meaning it won’t be in all theaters, only specific ones.

If possible I think it should be made into 3D. I have a 3D tv and just got the Blu-Ray version. It would be great in 3D.blue-meanie

If you mean a 3D remake patbit then no. Disney were planning to do so a year or so ago and it was a ghastly idea.

In truth im not a fan of the whole 3D thing, does it really add anything to the film, i doubt it, but then im not a film goer. Would rather wait until it was on tv – unless it was some beatle thing like when Living In The Material World came out in selected theatres. The cinema costs a fortune, there is little legroom, and there is always someone who talks the whole way thru or insists on going to the bathroom ever 4 minutes.

Um… the movie is barely 2D. 😛 You know what would be cool though. A Hard Day’s Night in color!

Those are the exact reasons why my wife and I have not gone to a movie theater in over 10 years! Don’t get me started on cell phones in the cinema.

Now, if they had a theater that featured noise cancelling headphones and seats that disappear completely if you stand up more than 2 times once the movie starts…

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Ahh yes, seats that disappear. Good one.a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 That would be the perfect solution, if only it were possible…

Fie on you. Colour is boring – real life is in colour 24 hours a day for chrissakes!

B&W is beautiful.

B&W only adds to AHDN ‘s timelessness, a piece of film history. Has anyone seen the colourised Laurel & Hardy, they look dreadful when compared to the original b&w editions, something having been lost.

No, I mean take the original and make it 3D. I love 3D and it does add to the film.

Does the technology even exist to transform a decades-old standard film (whether live-action or animated) into 3-D? I assume we’d be seeing a lot of old movies redone that way if it were feasible. Like “The Wizard of Oz” and “The Lion King” and whatever else. Whatever, I still think it’s a terrible idea.

Especially when it comes to animation, 3-D seems to be the way of the future: fair enough. But leave the PAST the way it is.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Well, I think that it’s technically possible, but you would probably have to edit it frame by frame, which would take a really long time.

Anyway, colorizing A Hard Day’s Night is a horrible idea.  Colorizing any black and white film is a horrible idea, because it always looks like crap.
