Watched that Beatles Dr Who episode. Geniuses. Truth told in a fictional story.

https://screenrant.com/doctor-whos-maestro-villain-identity-powers-explained/ says that

The chord played by Lennon and McCartney to banish Maestro is a Cmaj9.

The 'net tells me that Sun King has a Cmaj9 chord on "Here comes the Sun King "

'Living In The Material World ' is on Sky Arts in 11 minutes (9:15pm). I thought Sky Arts was a pay channel but free which is cool.

Why are the Beatles songs so fast, they sound like they have smoked a few joints and are stoned to the eyelids? It's ruining the film.

I think the whole film is running fast. Billy Preston sounds like he is on helium. Maybe a film to TV playback change. No idea. It's a hard watch tho hearing 'Awaiting On You All ' become almost a dance record.

I haven't seen the original movie, but I've read the summary.

This Is Spinal Tap is getting a sequel, and Paul McCartney will be in it.

https://www.indiewire.com/news.....235028015/

Famously, upon release, many viewers believed the original film was an actual documentary covering a real band. To play this joke up in the sequel, Reiner told Deadline he’s expanded the cast a bit to include real icons.

“We got everybody together and we added a couple of surprise guests,” he said. “We have Paul McCartney and Elton John and Garth Brooks. It’s fun.”

Not sure if this should go here because upon research (ie a google search) it turns out this film was released in 2024. I didn't hear about it then and I think many others haven't either. Considering what online sites have written I think that's a good thing.

A very random film of the first meeting between Paul and Stevie Wonder is out. Having never heard of anything to do with this it came very much as an 'Eh!!!!?' when it appeared on the Glasgow Film Theatre website but if you are near Glasgow on the 5th or 6th of March 2025 it's being screened.

SB: Super curious to hear Ringo's take on I Don't Want To Spoil The Party . I don't believe he has ever performed a Beatle song other than the ones with his original vocals. Also, Yellow Submarine duet with Emmylou Harris might be something new. ahdn_ringo_09

Just a word of warning, I'm watching the east coast feed of the program and it appears to be more of a tribute concert (than a Ringo concert). So far he hasn't performed one-half of the songs including I Don't Want To Spoil The Party . a-hard-days-night-ringo-6Band is good but a bit of false advertising me thinks.apple02Still fun to see Ringo doing his thing. ahdn_ringo_09
