note: meanmistermustard merged a handful of threads on the 'Living In The Material World' documentary on the 19th July 2014, due to the number of threads merged detailing which post was part which original thread would only lead to long convoluted notes.

Scorsese Names George Harrison Doc, 'Living In The Material World, Film Looking At 2011 Release

It must have been really secret - there isn't even an imdb.com entry on it yet! I do wonder how you can sum up a whole life in two to three hours.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

I've heard about this for a while and I was wondering when it would come out. I hope it's like that Bob Dylan one "No Direction Home" which was absolutely incredible. George's life was a bit of a mystery so this movie will hopefully shed some much needed light on him.

I wonder too, how 2 to 3 hours will suffice. I do have faith in Scorsese, however. He did an unbelievable job on The Last Waltz.

I also heard that they're making a movie called Nowhere Boy. I think it's about John Lennon. Not sure.a-hard-days-night-ringo-4

I summed up the life of Meher Baba in about 5 minutes.

Oh wait, that was Pete Townshend.......................

...nevermind.

To be fair, I don't think it's been released in the US yet. It comes out in October this year

I'm espicially excited as I hear there will be new unreleased music revealed that had been saved by George on old cassettes from the Beatles era. How cool is that?a-hard-days-night-george-5

Not really excited for a documentary. Will it feature unreleased songs?

It's been confirmed that there's unreleased recordings involved.
Scorsese worked with Olivia in going through George's archives.

A documentary is way better than a film with actors. We get to see and, most importantly, hear the REAL George. a-hard-days-night-george-6
