The positive reviews weren't from super fans, I'd bet. I'll probably still watch it when it comes on BBC America. At least there's still Nowhere Boy to look forward to.

Offline I've just downloaded it from torrent. I'm sorry to confess I rely a lot on piracy, there's no way I can see BBC from here. Firstly, I don't have a telly.
Anyway, I'm watching it tonight, but I checked it up this morning and I have to say Brian was very fat and John hitted very hard with the ugly stick…
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

Incidentally (and I've probably mentioned this before) Brian Epstein was played by Rory Kinnear, son of Roy Kinnear who was in Help !.

Offline He was OK. It was a very minor role at the start, 1964, when Brian takes John to a hotel room to meet Alf Lennon. That bit was done fairly well actually.

Offline I'm not an expert in british accents at all, but the accent and tone of the actor who played John was OK, right?

Offline It was OK, but Lennon's accent wasn't always so harsh. I don't know, I'd have to watch it again. Certainly Christopher Eccleston's was better than the other Beatle actors.
