Has anyone ever identified the band who is playing at The Peppermint Lounge when John, Paul and Ringo go out dancing after the first Sullivan show?

They play a really good rendition of “Money (That’s What I Want)”.

The sequence in question is about 30 minutes into the film.

The band in question were The Seven Fabulous Epics. Formed by Larry Younger as The Fabulous Epics in 1962 in Erie, Pennsylvania – and including his brother Vinny, they were also known as The Younger Brothers. They remained the house band there until around 1967. In 1968, they moved to California, changed their name to Orange Colored Sky, and signed to Universal. I don’t believe they enjoyed any real success.

Thank you, Nasty.

My research was indicating that may have been the case, but I wasn’t completely sure.

Do you happen to know if they ever made any recordings? I can’t seem to find a lot about them.

While it’s not much, when I was first looking into them, I found most of my information here, and it does mention a few releases and include two or three mp3s.
