Offline I’ve heard this 4 times on this channel. A female voice comes on saying “heres an underrated Beatles song,” while an underrated song like The Inner Light or Piggies plays. Then they play Hey Bulldog . Every time, as if Hey Bulldog is the only underrated Beatles song.

I believe the SiriusXM Hits 1 channel actually had a glitch a couple weeks ago where Hey Bulldog kept repeating for hours on end. Perhaps someone thought that today’s teeny-boppers needed a break from the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry?

The bill aims to streamline music copyright for the digital streaming era. But the trouble began when satellite radio giant SiriusXM raised objections to parts of the bill that would make it responsible for paying royalties on pre-1972 recordings the same way it does for recordings after that year. SiriusXM claims such a law is unfair, especially given that terrestrial radio stations (i.e. AM/FM channels), its main competitors, are exempt. The company’s protest — saying it “simply cannot” support the bill in its current form — has set off weeks of infighting within the music industry, as supporters of the MMA, which include hundreds of songwriters, executives and music rights advocates, stressed about the bill’s future. On Monday, dozens of hitmakers and artists signed a letter to the board members of SiriusXM’s parent company Liberty Media expressing “grave concern.”
I hope the Beatles channel doesn’t get pulled.

Offline I’m addicted to this channel, but I agree that a lot of voters need to get their priorities straight. I mean, how did Thank You Girl make it into the top 100?!?
Another thing I’ve noticed is that A Day In The Life always wins. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great and wonderful and fantastic and amazing song, but it’s SO PREDICTABLE. In My Life is always second or third, A Day In The Life is always first, Here Comes The Sun is always between five and ten… I don’t know why they bother doing “All Together Now Two” when everyone votes for the exact same things they did the time before.
Also, George Harrison ‘s solo music is way underplayed. They play like one George song for every three or four Paul and John songs. Also, they always seem to be playing the same ones.
I love this channel, though!

P.S. There’s this one thing they do where they say “Ringo’s bass drum pedal squeaks all through All I’ve Got To Do ” and then they play it and I’ve never heard any squeaking. Am I deaf?
A lot of the early songs has a squeaky kick pedal. I’m not on my computer right now to pull up proof for you but check out 0:08 for a good squeak.
