Hi Folks,
Myself and Terry are pleased to announce our ebook Ringo Starr And The Beatles Beat (Part 1) is now available on the Apple iBooks, Amazon Kindle, Nook and Kobo stores!
Samples are available to view and download, but here's a very brief summary of the book -
"With over 80 years drumming experience between them, Alex Cain and Terry McCusker explore the percussive elements of The Beatles songbook, providing intuitive descriptions and detailed drum notation of the drumming and percussion in every original Beatles release.
With comprehensive song by song analysis, there’s something for the drummer and non-drummer alike - discover how Ringo’s soulful, sympathetic and instinctive drumming interacted with the personalities of his bandmates and recording engineers to shape the Beatles' beat.
Part One of Ringo Starr and The Beatles Beat covers the years 1962-1966, from 'Love Me Do ' to 'Tomorrow Never Knows '. Foreword by Don Powell of Slade."
And here's a few links -
Plus a few screenshots to wet your appetite?

Cheers!
Alex

Yay! Book published! I remember talking to you about it while you drove me and the one and only Beatles Bible Ron Nasty around Liverpool.
I will nudge people to use the Amazon link in my signature to purchase the book to help Joe out.

Ahhh GirlI'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Anyone at the Beatles Convention at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool this Sunday (30 August)?
Come and say "hello" to us on our stall, have a look at the book, and drool over some fantastic Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl "Ringo" drums 🙂

This book looks pretty interesting , I always thought of ringo as a percusionist instead of just a plain drummer. Always trying to get the best out from his kit, tambourine, maraca or whatever... Just look at how he plays tambourine in the movie help! In the "got to hide your love away" scene, very proffesional. And of course his creative drum patterns going through the whole kit as the percussion set from an orchestra ( a day inthe life, for the benefit of mr. Kite... ) .... I'll get a copy sooner o later, no doubts : )
