“…saw a smile that in my fantasy melted into animal passion. The loose knot at the back of her favorite pink and white dress was practically an invitation.”
“A defiant Ms. Moon stared down at us…. She would be receiving visitors. But she would play hard to get.”
With writing like this, we should be seeing more posts from you in the Fifty Shades thread.

Happy 87th Birthday to Jim Lovell, the only person to go to the Moon twice – but never land.
He was part of the Apollo 8 crew ( the famous ‘earthrise over the moon’ photo) and as commander of the Apollo 13 mission he uttered the famous
“Hello Houston, we have a problem” when his command module exploded on the way to the moon.
ALSO this month marks the 50th anniversary of the first walk in space by Alexei Leonov. His spacesuit unexpectedly inflated a bit more from the vacuum of space and he couldn’t get back in to his capsule. He had to make the super risky move of briefly deflating his suit. (He could have just exploded as when you put a pin a balloon.) But that’s not the whole story. Stay tuned for the anniversary of the first American space walk….

Well, I don’t know what to think. I didn’t fact-check this latest tome. Let’s hope he knows a good knee guy.

I listened to the show on my way into work this morning. Well done as usual.
Ringo was loved in America. I wonder why they chose to leave his song off the American Rubber Soul .
Our poll was so unusual.

John Glenn just passed away. He was 95, so he certainly wasn’t cheated.
He was a true American hero. First to put his ass on top of the Atlas rocket most famous for repeatedly blowing up; first American to orbit the Earth; Senator for 24 years – and never sought to cash in on his fame.
I wondered how his obit would appear in the New York Times. At the back with the other obits? After all, fame is fleeting. On the front page – but at the bottom?
Nope: front page at the very top.
“Glenn was a clean-cut, good-natured, well-grounded Mid-Westerner, raised in Presbyterian rectitude, nurtured in patriotism and tested in war, who stepped forward to risk the unknown and succeeded spectacularly, lifting his country’s morale and restoring its self-confidence … In just five hours on Feb.20, 1962, Mr. Glenn joined … Lewis and Clark, the Wright brothers and Charles Lindbergh.”

Another month, another space obituary!
Yes, Eugene Cernan has passed away, as Zig has pointed out in the RIP section. Cernan walked in space as a Gemini astronaut (a semi-success), then got tantalizingly close to the moon in the dress rehearsal that was Apollo X, and finally walked on the moon on Apollo XVII, which turned out to be the last lunar mission. (There were supposed to be three more.)
When Cernan closed the hatch to the lunar module, that was it for Man on the Moon until …. the Chinese decide to go there?
