Funny, I was going to ask you where you found that picture! It’s great.

New printing of “Into the Sky…” due later this year. If anyone’s interested in reading it through for omissions/corrections, I’ll be happy to send off a copy. (Just send me a Message via the Inbox.)

Just finished reading this GREAT book!

Bravo, ITSWD!!!  Very well done.  Interesting, captivating & of course well-researched :)  I really enjoyed this read & had a hard time putting it down.  I learned a LOT about the “space race”.  Being Canadian – I knew about the whole “Apollo Moon Landing” – but not much about what happened previous to it.

As for the Beatles part – it was fantastic…loved reading the “letters from Mal”!  I miss those letters now that the book is finished!

Ron – I think it’s time to start your NEXT Beatles book!  What do you think?! a-hard-days-night-george-10

“GRAVITY”  Two thumbs up to this 3D space movie. Shows the beauty, exhilaration … and extreme danger of space. Though the story might seem exaggerated, the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts in fact faced disastrous events of equal magnitude during the other great adventure of the ’60s.

I recently finished reading this book for a second time and picked up so much more this time around regarding the first flights in space, landing on the moon, etc…

Now, when I gaze up at the full moon, I just can’t help wondering how the heck we did it. It boggles the mind that men walked on that thing. Too cool.

Hey Ron,

I’m sure you saw this, but just in case…

Some of the photos are, while stunning, just plain eerie.

Digging around the main computer, trying to find any files, folders or documents that weren’t on the external back up that died – lost a lot of stuff.  a-hard-days-night-paul-3 Its a complete mess with everything all over the place so its tedious to do and have put it off for a long while

One of the few things i did come across was this book which i had back-upped!! Makes it all worthwhile.

Having FINALLY finished off Tune In (not really complaining, it was good), I’m just about to start this. From what I’ve heard, I’ll enjoy it!

Its call number according to Library of Congress call numbering conventions is:

Just thought you might like to know that little bit of information.

I’m about a third through. (I’ve been reading other stuff too) and I really really like it. It’s a cool idea, and nice to see The Beatles as a secondary storyline instead of the main focus. Pretty cool. One question: Was Dutch a real person, or is he a character?

Ahhh, I haven’t gotten there yet. I’m only on page 150 or so. Thanks.

@Ron Nasty  a copy signed by the author at home and a copy I ordered to share with patrons at work. :-)

ISWD has already answered one pressing question I had about something in the book for me via PM. It is a good read!

I have that too, which is why it’s one of the few books I won’t take to my school, which is a death trap for personal possessions. Especially books.

John Houbolt – the most important anonymous person in the Race to the Moon – has passed away. Fighting against the higher-ups, he fought for the “Lunar Module” concept and finally won out.
