Yeah I like nearly a bit of everything- except death metal and hardcore country. 80’s pop, folk, punk rock, classic rock, disco…and the list goes on, and on (and on, and on. Strangers waiting—- nah just kidding I don’t like Journey, that and that song always reminds me of The Sopranos).

Sorry, tried in the past, but I can’t limit Top 5 (maybe 15…). So much of my music is from all over the place & depending on the mood I’m in! That being said:
(Revolver , White Album , then)
Easter – Patti Smith
Blonde on Blonde – Dylan
Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd

There are so few albums I can get thru without getting so bored I turn off that I cannot provide a list which would be suitably varied.
The fact I have 3 artists (Beatles and solo counting as 1) that I can listen to 4 songs in a row without being in need of an immediate change is a testament that miracles exist.

I completely agree, meanmistermustard. I can only think of 4 albums that I can listen to 5 tracks in a row without changing tracks. And it is a testament to the Beatles and their ability that all 4 of the albums are by them.

Also, why are you trying to get me to prove my love of Pink Floyd by asking me a trivia question? I could know nothing about the people behind the music or even technicalities of the music itself and still love it to pieces. Especially with Pink Floyd, who have traditionally been seen as rather an enigma for the sake of artistic purity.
If you don’t know about the band and or the people behind the music, then how could you be a hardcore fan, I wouldn’t call someone who didn’t know that Paul played guitar on Helter Skelter a hardcore Beatles fan.
Pull your head up, you Silly Girl look what you’ve said
It just so happens that I do know a good deal about them, but that’s quite secondary to my honest appreciation for the music alone.
That’s good, maybe pretty soon you’ll be learning about the different types of guitars David Gilmour used on each song.

I suppose I’ll do mine in picture form as well (although since both me and HMBeatlesfan are secretly ewe2, we decided that doing it in text form is best).
Cold Spring Harbor, Billy Joel, 1971
Really, you’re going with his debut, why not something like The Stranger or if you want Billy Joel doing John Lord/Ray Manzarek style organ, go with his 1970 band’s only album, Atilia.

Red, Taylor Swift, 2013
Out of all the great albums to choose from (A Night At The Opera, Master Of Reality, Boston, News Of The World, And Justice For All, Reign In Blood, The Number Of The Beast, Dirt, Back In Black, 2112, etc.), you pick this, very interesting.
Maybe you should try posting more.

CSH is an acquired taste. Now the version of that album that you’ll find on CD or digital or Vinyl remaster is the 1985 remix. If you can find the original 1971 version of the album, either on Vinyl or via audio files from the interwebs, I highly recommend it. I did not fully fall in love with this album until I heard the original version.

It’s a nice album. Granted there are the more popish songs on the album like “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “22,” but then there are the masterpieces like “All Too Well,” “State of Grace,” and “Holy Ground,” that are extremely underrated.

William Shears Campbell talked about Cold Spring Harbor
Its funny that you like the original album, because Billy Joel hated it more than anything. He thought great songs were recorded poorly and tried to do then justice on Songs In the Attic. One of my favorite Joel Songs Everybody Loves You Now appears on CSH, but I prefer the version in the attic.
My favorite album by Billy Joel is either Turnstiles or The Stranger.

Turnstiles used to be my favorite, but now it is number 2(It still holds a place very close to my heart though). I personally prefer the album versions of the Songs In The Attic songs, but I also generally prefer album versions over live versions.
Actually, one of the reasons he hated it so much, was because after it was recorded it was mastered a little bit too fast causing his voice to be high pitched. Now he associates it with the chipmunk high pitched voice that was on the original master.

Somehow it means you’re a hardcore die hard fan if you know the model, number and how many times the guitar strings are struck in ‘High Hopes’.
Which must mean I’m a crap Beatles fan as I have no idea which guitar which Beatles played on which song. Mainly as I don’t give a damn.

Damn you mmm! You used one of my many weaknesses to thwart me!!!!! We don’t talk about 10’s departure here (I’m just getting onto Donna and 10 in my rewatch, so I still have a bit of time left with good ole Tennant. I like Matt Smith but he’s probably at the bottom of my favourite NuWho doctors- going 9, 10, 12, 11 in descending order).
