I thought this would be a cool idea. Pick:
One or two guitarists (one could also be the lead vocalist, and the other a backing vocalist, unless you’d rather have a separate lead and backing vocalists altogether)
A bassist
A drummer
(Optional) A keyboardist
Three songs you would’ve liked them to play together.
They can be dead or alive, and from different periods if you wish.
I should hopefully post my example soon, but I’d love to see all of yours in the mean time!

Great idea, here’s mine, i decided to do a mix of everything for fun:
Paul McCartney (The Beatles, Wings, Solo): Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar
Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds, John Mayall & The Blues Breakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek And The Dominoes, Solo): Guitar, Backing Vocals
Brian May (Queen): Guitar, Backing Vocals
Neil Peart (Rush): Drums
Adele: Piano, Organ, Synthesizer, Harpsichord, Clavichord, Electric Piano, Keyboard
EDIT:
Forgot to follow SPB’s rules at first so i fixed that.

Most of the bands I like are basically supergroups anyways, considering the talent of each of the members.
But here goes:
George Harrison – Lead Vocals
Roger McGuinn (The Byrds) – Lead guitar, backing vocals, 12 string rickenbacker
Johnny Marr (The Smiths) – Lead guitar, 12 string rickenbacker
D’arcy Wretsky (Smashing Pumpkins) – Bass guitar
Reni (The Stone Roses) – Drums, backing vocals
Songs:
Mr Tambourine Man (Dylan/Byrds)
If I Needed Someone (The Beatles/Byrds)
The Boy With The Thorn In His Side (The Smiths)
Should be quite an unconventional super group but hey ho.
(Roll in all the people saying theirs would be John Lennon , Paul McCartney , George Harrison & Ringo Starr )

Adele is not a keyboard player, she plays guitar and bass, along with drums. Her keyboard player is Miles Robertson.

Why not have George play guitar as well as sing.
Because three guitars would be a bit much. I was hesitant to include too.

Thanks for pointing that out, i thought it would be funny to have Adele play an instrument but not sing at all and assumed that she was a pianist, still keeping it the way it is though.
Anyways, i almost forgot to list the songs that my super group would play:
Tie Your Mother Down (originally released by Queen in 1976)
Paul McCartney : Lead vocals, Rickenbacker bass
Eric Clapton: Fender Stratocaster rhythm guitar, Backing vocals
Brian May: Red Special lead and rhythm guitar, Backing vocals
Neil Peart: Drums
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (originally released by The Beatles in 1968)
Paul McCartney : Lead vocals, Rickenbacker bass
Eric Clapton: Martin D-28 rhythm guitar, Backing vocals
Brian May: Red Special guitar doubling bass, Backing vocals
Neil Peart: Drums
Adele: Piano
Crossroads (based on version originally released by Cream in 1968)
Eric Clapton: Lead vocals, Gibson SG lead guitar
Paul McCartney : Rickenbacker bass, Martin D-28 rhythm guitar, Tambourine
Brian May: Red Special rhythm guitar
Neil Peart: Drums
Adele: Hammond organ

But that is just stupid, @Dark Overlord. She does not play any form of keyboard instrument, which is why Miles has been working with her since 2008. You have chosen a keyboard player who doesn’t play a keyboard.
What type of supergroup has an instrumentalist who cannot play their instrument?
There’s imaginary, and then there’s complete fiction.
By your rules, why not have Ringo on lead guitar, Eric Clapton on violin, Yo-Yo Mar on drums, and Nancy Shevell on bass?

^ Eric has got crippling nerve damage as well, so I don’t think he’d be joining any supergroups anytime soon (which is very unfortunate because I am a MASSIVE Clapton fan).

Means, to me at least, that you can choose to have a Cream-era Clapton say, alongside a Smiths-era Johnny Marr.

Forgiveness please, I scanned through the opening post, obviously not taking in everything.
As for my own supergroup, they’d probably all clash musical styles and egos so I don’t think I’d be able to come up with one!

But that’s the fun of it @Ron Nasty it’s fun to imagine a band with John Deacon on lead vocals, John Bonham on guitar, Ringo Starr on bass, and Lil’ Wayne on drums. Why imagine a perfectly realistic band when you can add an element of pure fiction. If the idea of complete fiction was thought of as wrong, such classic works as Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wizard Of Oz, Star Wars, Yellow Submarine , and Planet Of The Apes would’ve never existed. In conclusion, i see nothing wrong with having Adele play piano in my fictional supergroup because that’s what it is, fictional, a form of imagination.

This would probably be a really messy band but i’d have:
John Lennon – Lead vocals
Jimi Hendrix – Lead & rhythm guitar (since his playing incorporated both), occasional backing vocals
Keith Moon – Drums
John Paul Jones – Bass
Rick Wakeman – Keyboards
Songs:
Won’t Get Fooled Again (The Who) – A chance for the band and each member to demonstrate their abilities.
Hocus Pocus (Focus) – Imagine John trying to sign this….
Johnny B. Goode (Chuck Berry) – Classic rocker which they can jam to.

Sounds like it has the potential to be a bigger trainwreck then Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica so I would definitely listen to it.

Drums: Ringo Starr
Vocals: Thom Yorke
Keyboard: Mike Garson
Songs:
Alladin Sane
The Battle Of Evermore
