Sure! I have a ticket for their concert in the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City this May 14th.
Are you wearing a special t-shirt for the concert?
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Oh I meant I love U2 too! I love them I lot. I saw them in San Diego about 6 years ago for the Vertigo tour, but tickets for this one are going to be really expensive (I have to use a ticket reseller), and I didn't like the new album very much I can't really say I gave it a fair shot but… I don't know. Did you like No Line on the Horizon?

Oh I thought you had ticketts for a concert! Actually I didn't like NLOTH much…. I have to find some love for it otherwise I'm going to be like when they sing the songs in the concert. But that happens with me and U2… since The Joshua Tree it takes me a while to love their albums. And now with in the middle, the poor CD is getting dust on my computer.
But I'm happy to go. That was my other dream concert. I wanted to get tickets to see them when they came before, but I couldn't. If they sing With or Without you and Where the Streets have no name, I'll be happy.
I'd go crazy if they sing Helter Skelter though.

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again
However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you
I will always love you

No, I wish I did I just missed the day they went on sale. And it would take some work for me to find love for NLOTH. Magnificant was okay… But all in all I was not impressed. Surely they will sing your other songs though!! I remember how happy I was when they played City of Blinding Lights. And In a Little While. I love that one.
Have fun! You'll really enjoy it.

“How I wish, how I wish you were here
We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year
Running over the same old ground
Have we found the same old fears?
Wish you were here.”

Beautiful tune, my only complaint is that Wish You Were Here ends so soon.
Sticking with Floyd though, I feel like someone has already brought up Time around here, but I think the lyrics are worth mentioning again.
“Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun”
Insert filthy solo…
“And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
And shorter of breath, and one day closer to death”
“Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, though I’d something more to say.”

I absolutely love WYWH. Some of my favorite lyrics as well.
Keeping with the Pink Floyd trend:
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
–Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Once upon a time you dressed so fine,
Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you ?
People'd call, say, “Beware doll, you're bound to fall,”
You thought they were all a’kiddin' you.
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hangin' out.
Now you don't talk so loud,
Now you don't seem so proud,
About having to be scrounging your next meal.
How does it feel ?
How does it feel ?
To be without a home ?
Like a complete unknown ?
Like a rolling stone ?
Aw, you've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely,
But you know you only used to get “juiced” in it.
Nobody’s ever taught you how to live out on the street,
And now you're gonna have to get used to it.
You say you never compromise
With a mystery tramp, but now you realize
He's not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And say, “Do you want to make a deal?
How does it feel ?
How does it feel ?
To be on your own ?
With no direction home ?
A complete unknown ?
Like a rolling stone ?
Aw, you never turned around to see the frowns
On the jugglers and the clowns
When they all did tricks for you.
You never understood that it ain't no good,
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you.
You used to ride on a chrome horse with your diplomat
Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat.
Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal ?
How does it feel ?
How does it feel ?
To have ya’ on your own ?
With no direction home ?
Like a complete unknown ?
Like a rolling stone ?
Aw, princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're all drinkin', thinkin' that they’ve got it made.
Exchanging all precious gifts,
But you'd better take your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe.
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used.
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse.
When you ain’t got nothing, you’ve got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you’ve got no secrets to conceal.
How does it feel ?
Aw, how does it feel ?
To be on your own ?
With no direction home ?
Like a complete unknown ?
Like a rolling stone ?
So awesome!

I'm rediscovering early 90s U2. Zooropa is my Let it Be. I listened too much until I got sick of it, and now, after many years, it's again one of my U2 favorite tracks. Amazing. And reading the lyrics today, you realize how powerful they are.
I love baby Zooropa

I noticed a lot of Pink Floyd upstream.
From my favorite PF album, Animals…
First song on the album: Pigs on the Wing (Part One)
If you didn't care what happened to me
And I didn't care for you
We would zig zag our way through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain.
Wondering which of the buggars to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing.
Last song: Pigs on the Wing (Part Two)
You know that I care what happens to you,
And I know that you care for me.
So I don't feel alone,
Or the weight of the stone,
Now that I've found somewhere safe
To bury my bone.
And any fool knows a dog needs a home,
A shelter from pigs on the wing.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

More Pink Floyd.
All that you touch
and all that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
and all that you love
and all that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
and all that you give
and all that you deal
and all that you buy,
beg, borrow or steal.
and all you create
and all you destroy
and all that you do
and all that you say.
and all that you eat
And everyone you meet
and all that you slight
And everyone you fight.
and all that is now
and all that is gone
and all that’s to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
“There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact it’s all dark.”
Eclipse from The Dark Side of the Moon. I think Roger Waters maybe a genius.
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Everybody makes mistakes
Everybody has those days
1234!
Everybody makes mistakes
Everybody has those days
Everybody knows what, what I'm talkin 'bout
Everybody gets that way
Everybody makes mistakes
Everybody has those days
Everybody knows what, what I'm talkin 'bout
Everybody gets that way (Yeah)
Sometimes in a jam
I gotta make a plan
It might be crazy
I do it anyway
No way to know for sure
I figure out a cure
I'm patching up the holes
But then it overflows
If I'm not doing to well
Why be so hard on myself
Nobody's perfect
I gotta work it
Again and again til I get it right
Nobody's perfect
You live and you learn it
And if I mess it up sometimes Nobody's perfect
Sometimes I work a scheme
But then it flips on me
Doesn't turn out how I planned Gets stuck in quick-sand
No problem can't be solved
Once I get involved
I try to be delicate
Then crash right into it
But my intentions are good (yeah yeah yeah)
Sometimes just mis-understood
Nobody's perfect
I gotta work it
Again and again til I get it right Nobody's perfect
You live and you learn it
And if I mess it up sometimes Nobody's perfect
I gotta work it
I know this time i'll find a way(oh) Nobody's perfect
Sometimes I fix things up
And they fall apart again (nobody's perfect)
I might mix things up
But I always get it right in the end (you know I do)
Next time you feel like,
It's just one of those days, When you just can't seem to win
If things don't go the way that you guys planned,
Figure something else out!
Don't stay down! Try again!..(yeah)
Everybody makes mistakes, Everybody has those days. Everybody know's what, what I'm talking 'bout,
Everybody gets that way.
Everybody makes mistakes Everybody has those days
Everybody knows what, what I'm talking 'bout
Everybody gets that way
Nobody's perfect
I gotta work it
Again and again til I get it right
Nobody's perfect
You live and you learn it
And if I mess it up sometimes, Nobody's perfect
I gotta work it
I know in time I'll find a way, Nobody's perfect,
You live and you learn it
'Cuz everybody makes mistakes Nobody's perfect
Nobody's Perfect
No No

To add on to the Simon and Garfunkel happiness on this thread,
“A Poem on the Underground Wall” (I like to think of it as the sequel to “The Sound of Silence”, because it's like an awakening as opposed to a 'restless dream'…)
The underground is closing soon,
And in the dark deserted station,
Restless in anticipation,
A man waits in the shadows.
His restless eyes leap and scratch,
At all that they can touch or catch,
And hidden deep within his pocket,
Safe within it's silent socket,
He holds a colored crayon.
Now from the tunnel's stony womb,
The carriage rides to meet the groom,
And opens wide and welcome doors,
But he hesitates, then withdraws
Deeper in the shadows.
And the train is gone suddenly
On wheels clicking silently
Like a gently tapping litany,
And he holds his crayon rosary
Tighter in his hand.
Now from his pocket quick he flashes,
The crayon on the wall he slashes,
Deep upon the advertising,
A single worded poem comprised
Of four letters.
And his heart is laughing, screaming, pounding
The poem across the tracks rebounding
Shadowed by the exit light
His legs take their ascending flight
To seek the breast of darkness and be suckled by the night.

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best…
And…always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the light side of life…
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle – that's the thing.
And…always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the light side of life…
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin – give the audience a grin
Enjoy it – it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath
Life's a piece of s**t
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the right side of life…
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life…
Always look on the bright side of life…
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life…
(I mean – what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing – you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life…
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life from Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Fleet Foxes – Montezuma
And now I am older
Than my mother and father
When they had their daughter
Now what does that say about me?
Oh how could I dream of
Such a selfless and true love?
Could I wash my hands of
Just looking out for me?
That verse made me tear up a bit, I wonder if it's ever possible to pay back your parents? And here I'm thinking of all I've done wrong in my life and the guilt that should be accrued, but it's so easy to be apathetic because you're used to all of what they give you, it's like you don't even think of it at times. They used to have some life that they chose to give up to have a family, such a selfless and true love. Yikes what a line.
