Joe, where did you see Blue Nicey’s name?? a-hard-days-night-john-3

You know you’re a hardcore George Harrison fan when you’re seriously considering having a tattoo done with the line “Beware Of Darkness ” in your inner arm. I might do it somewhere else. a-hard-days-night-george-1

You want to look up a picture of someone zigging, so you type in “zigging” into Google. Then you realize that the rest of the world hasn’t caught on to our awesome word yet and change it to “spitting out water.”

…and?

1 – Oh, Zig. Is my story too unresolved for you?

2 – Do you ask what happens next whenever you listen to “Wait “? (First song off the top of my head with an unresolved ending)

3 – There were pictures of zigzags and a funny one of a ziggurat. But that was about it.

1- Yep – couldn't sleep at all last night

2- Nope- John immediately tells me “til I come back to your side…”

3- Whew! I was afraid there was a cameraman outside my window snapping pics of me Zigging.

YKYAHCBF when you're seriously considering having 4 digital frames in your room with the Beatles pics from the top banner…

That is a really cool idea! I might copy this someday … When I can afford four digital frames at once. With hi-res Beatles photos. In a room FULL OF BEATLES STUFF! Ah, that”ll be the day …

Blue Nicey – is Janna the new spelling or the old one?

That is the new spelling. It used to be Jana. A lot of people pronounced it Jayna, and it’s actually a short A sound, so I thought the spelling would solve that. Also, I thought it looked more “finished” that way. The name (either spelling) is a feminine form of John, so yay, I’m still a walking Beatles reference! a-hard-days-night-john-6

Sorry mith, I know you frown upon throwing real names out on the forum. Here you go! apple01

… You ask you guys your interpretation of this verse in American Pie:

And while Lennon read a book of Marx,
The quartet practiced in the park.

How can Lennon be reading a book of Marx and also practicing in the park?

As if it matters how a man falls down.'

'When the fall's all that's left, it matters a great deal.

It's Julian Lennon, and the quartet are the Kinks.

Yep. Thanks, M3. The lyrics are referring to this Lenin. TBH, I don’t remember much about him from history class, but I do remember associating him with Marxism.

No it isn’t. All my sources say Lennon, although Lenin is much more consistence to history, with Lenin taking Marxism as the basis of the Soviet Union (USSR).

Edit: I'm wrong. Don Mclean's website says Lenin.

Lenin reading the book does allow John to be playing in the park, though.

I know. But all the lyrics I read before had said Lennon, not lenin. I now know it was the communist, not the singer.

Your second reaction to hearing news is to post here. (The first is to pray.)

When you zone out class to post here. And also when you get 9, 16, 17, 19, or 2, you smile. And when you tell everyone when you have a song stuck in your head. Currently I have The Guns Of Brixton by the Clash in my head.
