Offline Now I know Paul had an affair with more than just Francie Schwartz although to be fair, not to sound sick but The Beatles probably had sex with their fans backstage and in their hotel rooms all the time so it’s not like they were faithful.

Offline Finally the day has come for me to have enough money to purchase an issue of THE BEATLES ANTHOLOGY!!! I’m literally crying out of joy- that’s how happy I am this gorgeous book is mine now.
After a first look, I can say it is even more amazing than I have imagined it (all these pictures and quotes…
) and after I have written the physics exam tomorrow I will be reading all day long!

I got that book for free a while back. My friend worked at a second hand book store before he left on his mission, and they had the book there. He told me about how he saw the book at his work, because he knows I’m a huge Beatles fan. Then about a month later, I visited him and he gave me the book. They were throwing it out at the store because no one was buying it, so he just grabbed it and got it for me as an early birthday present.

After dabbing up the spewed coffee from my keyboard (it’s been a while since I’ve Zigged), may I just say “Thank You!” for being in the right place at the right time, saving this book from such a horrible fate. The mind boggles at the thought of a book store tossing a book into the trash.

It’s so interesting though, because lots of them are in very good condition, like that classical set I got last week, and most of the ones that are in jackets. I think I part of the reason that they’re put up for free, is just that they’re not something that people will buy.

Well I the thanks goes to my friend for saving the book, but I suppose you could thank me for being a big Beatles fan, and being friends with someone who worked at the store, and making it known to that friend that I am a big Beatles fan, all which contributed to him saving the book.
As for why it was thrown out, the store is primarily a college text book store, however they sell lots of other things. They are really busy during the beginning of the semester, and then they die down a bit after the semester has begun. So the book getting thrown out could be a combination of the semester starting, and the cleaning out of old calendars, and older books that weren’t being sold. I know that wasn’t only book that was bring thrown out. It is also in slightly bad condition I suppose. The cover is peeling off the pages at the spine towards the back cover. However the damage is very minor. It is in excellent condition for it being a free book to my friend and me.

Mostly why records end up in the free section/at thrift stores is because vinyl records are not allowed to be recycled. So the only* other option is to donate them.
