No worries Sea Belt. We all move in different musical circles, and that’s part of the fun of a place like this, is discovering artists that your fellow BBers love (because we obviously all have EXCELLENT taste… I mean, we’re here, aren’t we? )
Jeff Buckley/Grace certainly isn’t for everyone, but you have to at least appreciate his music from a technical standpoint.
Anyway, speaking of grace, you might recognize the album I’m currently listening to, which was released on this day in 1986:
Paul Simon – Graceland

It’s so good, I don’t think there’s a bad song on it. Paul Simon is a ridiculously good songwriter, and the musical textures on that album are just so fun.
Anyway I’m currently listening to another Simon tune

Good one.
I guess what makes me different from most people is that I like a song like “You Can Call Me Al” infinitely better than “Bridge Over Troubled Water” — it’s not even a close contest.

Oh, I’m glad I’m not the only one You Can Call Me Al is so creative and infectious. Bridge… I’ve tried to like it more than I do. Matt Bellamy from Muse covered it, in dedication to his newborn daughter, and while that’s sweet and touching, I’m still not terribly interested in the song.
Now this, on the other hand, hits me straight in the

Another thing about “Father and Daughter” that’s rather subtle, I notice Paul enunciates each word in an effortlessly pleasing and cool way utterly free of being affected yet inventive all the same.

@StrawberrySauce I think it’s a very good song with a positive message and I love the backing vocals. I will definitely be buying the EP.
Right now, I’m listening to Your Mother Should Know .

Yep, I’ve never given a damn for that song either, nice melody notwithstanding; there’s a dozen S&G songs (and a dozen solo Simons) I’ll take over that one, and I’m only a mild fan of them/him.

The Laurel Canyon crowd!
I’m passively listening to my vonbrother-in-law play the first 10-to-30 seconds of a bunch of songs, one after another…he just subscribed to a streaming service and is previewing tracks before downloading, in service of making a huge playlist of portable music to take with us to the lakeside camp north of town, where there’s no internet access.
(Heard the first 20 seconds of the Wilburys’ “End Of The Line” about ten minutes and 25 partial-songs ago, when I began this post! )
