Closing Time – Tom Waits (1973)

Great album.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

The debut album Mr. Fantasy by Traffic. Great stuff…

If I had to make a deal somehow where for the rest of my life I was only allowed to listen to music from the year 1967, well it would certainly be possible…

Listening to an eclectic amount of music right now ranging from drag queen music ( “UK, Hun?” by the United Kingdolls, “Cartoons and Vodka” by Jinx Monsoon) to 60s/70s classic psychedelic rock inspired group Foxygen, which I’m currently in love with their songs “Shuggie” and “San Fransciso” a-hard-days-night-john-3a-hard-days-night-paul-7

the Foxygen album with those songs is great!

I remember listening to the double album they did after that at my old record store job and thinking it wasn’t very good, unfortunately

Shuffling the catalog of Fanny, delighted to hear a semi-Yokoish scream at the 14-second mark

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
