Beatlebug said
Pink Floyd Friday is apparently a thing now.

Thanks for that!

which reminds me…

I never did give my opinion upon viewing “Pompeii” a few months back…Great performances all around (loved that dog!) but wish the location footage was more spectacular, y’know? Studio and soundstage stuff was a nice contrast. Pretty great document of a moment, overall.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

The most slept on hip hop record of last year, in my opinion, this wonderful fusion of space jazz and rapping.

Von Bontee

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

The bonus disc that came with my ooooooh deluxe In Through The Out Door. (It was actually less expensive than the plain album, so I figured why the hell not, even if it’s just rough mixes mccartney-shrug_01_gif I’ll update this later with my judgements if anyone cares.)

Edit if anyone cares: It wasn’t terribly distinct from the finished album, just rough mixes mostly. C’mon Jimmy, you’re holding out on us!

Dirt Off Your Shoulder – Jay Z. I love Jay, especially as he’s a big Beatles fan, and has included Beatles references in a number of songs (just off the top of my head, I can think of a track Reminder, which mentions the Beatles and Elvis, and the track he did with Beyonce called Ape Shit, where he mentions Ringo. ) He’s also into Alistair Crowley, who was obviously on the cover of Sgt Pepper
