I've decided to do a Beatles marathon today, tomorrow (and Sunday if needed).
I'm on Matchbox right now. Surprisingly good music to listen to while doing my physics assignment

I've got Beatles on shuffle at the moment. Current song is When I Get Home (is it just me who hates the 'love her till the cows come home' line? I cringe everytime I hear it). The 4 previous tracks were all George numbers.

It's definitely not just you - that cow lyric is pretty universally scorned. I think it stands out even more because there's nothing interesting about the lyric as a whole; it's just a rehash of the title cut.
Now listening to (Famous) Beethoven's 7th Symphony - my favourite of the symphonies, and the most rocking. (So many pounding rhythms, so much tympani!)...Roll over Chuck Berry, and tell The Beatles the news!

I've honestly never noticed that lyric, so I don't even know what part that goes to. Sounds pretty dumb though.
Why yes that is a picture of Paul dabbing. Deal with it.

I love this story: Karina Ramage goes into work at Waitrose with a guitar slung across her back a few days ago (a week ago Friday), customer asks her what she's doing with the guitar, she tells him she's a busker and he asks for a song. "Show me what you can do," he says, getting his phone out, and she says it'll have to be quick because her shift is about to start, and performs a track from her latest self-released EP:
Customer is Daniel Glatman, a successful music manager behind the British boy band Blue.
No time like the present! Following a slightly unusual request from a customer, Karina agreed to audition for me there and then in the aisle at Little Waitrose. I was blown away and offered to be her manager on the spot!
She is great. Currently grabbing all I can. Four EPs on Spotify, videos on her YT channel, whatever I can find.
Not much doubt in my mind that the lady will soon be very big.

The 50th anniversary remix of 'Space Oddity'. It's way too reverb-y for my ears, and it just doesn't sound right without that horrible hard-left/right 60's panning.

One of my favourites by The BowieMan - Black Tie White Noise (1993)
Apparently it's been exactly a year since I first listened to it (it's my friend's half-birthday and I was pestering him about it wishing him a good one and saw that I'd noted in last year's similarly-themed message, 'I am currently giving Black Tie White Noise a first listen, and quite enjoying it. . .')

Dammit, I'm back on my French music spin now. Where I want to have a glass of red wine and smoke a Gauloise- and I don't even smoke.
On a note, it's nice to see a song about treating women with respect reach #2 in France as it's the country in central Europe that I've got harassed the most (it's really charming when you're 13 and some 40-year old man comes up to you saying "bonsoir mademoiselle". I am also 90% certain a woman tried to pimp me out in France when I was 13, she kept on asking me did I have anywhere to stay and I could stay at her place- hmmm, no thanks lady).
Va te faire foutre, pervers.
