"Today's hits, yesterday's classics!" local radio station just played "Golden Years", followed by Thin Lizzy.

(Also in that rock block: Def Leppard, April Wine, and some dude or dudes who AREN'T ancient, so don't ask me who they are.)

Now: Peter Gabriel, who wishes to be our sledgehammer.

Someone said 'What were you gonna do when it's all finished,' and I said 'I don't know but it'd be good fun being a DJ.' And since then I've become a DJ, only by word of mouth, you know. SO any minute now you'll read, 'Ringo leaves to become a DJ' but it's not true. - Ringo Starr

...and PG was followed by "Over the Hills and Far Away!" a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Now, Neil and Crazy Horse, "Cinnamon Girl" - they're playing all the hits!

One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"

I adore Waterloo Sunset, if there is one song that I could only listen to for the rest of my life it would be WS.

I went to see Juliet, Naked in the cinema a few months ago, and Ethan Hawke sang a cover of it. Took me by surprise, and I actually really like his version of it- it's rough but still quite beautiful.

I had a bunch of Industrial/Electronic Metal come up on my Spotify today so I listened to some White/Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000 and Orgy.

Also Gnarkill, CKY and the Bloodhound Gang came up as well.

Weird mix.

And in the end the lunch you take is equal to the lunch you bake.

The Killers Saturday night headlining Glastonbury slot. Here are three highlights..

Ahhh, Mr Brightside, the national anthem for anyone under 40.

If I could nominate a pop song to replace the national anthem- it'd be Mr Brightside, you're born knowing the lyrics.

Must be a UK and Ireland thing, every single party, every single nightclub, Mr Brightside will be played at some point during the night and everyone knows the words.

Also you're doing a disservice to yourself in not knowing the words, Mr Brightside is love, Mr Brightside is life 😉
