Mother (I’m making a playlist of John’s best solo career songs, and I’m listening through it. I just decided to put Mother  after Beautiful Boy instead of before it, because happiness is overrated anyway.)

Von Bontee

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Revisiting The Comet Is Coming’s last album after LOVING their new one. Some of the coolest, spaciest jazz around. If there are any jazz fans who aren’t following bandleader Shabaka Hutchings’ work or the London scene as a whole, you are really missing out.

A wonderful song that was made by a duo who were unfortunately killed recently on route to a show. Has kind of a Smiths/Tears For Fears vibe
