First listen of Tonight by David Bowie. I’ve previously gone through his albums up to Let’s Dance and from Black Tie White Noise to hours . . . but I’d been procrastinating on The Dire 80s Ones till now. Finally decided to bite the bullet and listen through them, just to say I did, and…
they’re not that bad so far… I mean, it’s not really good, but it’s better than a stick in the ear.

EDIT: I’d have to say my top three favourite mixes are for Glass Onion , Martha My Dear and Helter Skelter – the backing vocals really stand out on the latter song in this version.

Offline Interesting you should say that, @SgtPeppersBulldog because while I’m not a huge fan of the new mixes, Martha My Dear is one of my least favourite new mixes. I’m not liking the seasickness-inducing ‘stereo’ effect on the piano at all, and the strings don’t sit quite right imo. But that’s something for another thread.
